Ok, I'm having trouble figuring out who is in town currently and who isn't. Not sure who Chauncey could approach specifically, therefore, so I'll post this here.

Anybody want to go search for an obelisk? I know its general location. It's the key to time and spaAace... :)

Let me know here and we can role-play out the recruitment/application, if you like.

Leaving pretty much immediately.

Avaala is distinctly interested in the Obelisks. Count him in for sure.

If Jaxsen and Luther can hunt down the Kobold lair, Jaxsen would see them wiped out as a threat to both his big hive and his little hive. So probably not.

Dexter would like to come. It depends on how long it takes to get Nallissa's goop, though. So not likely.

Wes is an undecided at this point. If there's nothing else, but it sounds like an expedition to spy on the dwarves is in the wind. Animal mistreatment and cutting down trees for their mine? Call 1-800-DRUID 4 U

If Maag is back in time he might be interested. Now Cresty has gone Maag doesn't have anybody's ego to take jabs at...wait....is that Chauncey over there? :D

Wasn't Cealwyn going to scout the west bank of the river with Grimm, Daisy and (probably?) Dexter?

I say it also because we'll need some muscle

I will gush again, if you’ll allow it.

I LOVE how easily players have picked up on the notion that there is really no reason to stick with the same group, just because you adventured with them before.

When the game first started, I thought I would have trouble getting players to understand that concept, but you guys have taken to the idea very well, and with almost no prodding from “behind the screen”. Again, this was how I envisioned the game when it first started, with lots of intermingling between the characters, but had no idea ho it would actually work. So, thank you for accepting an idea that I thought might be a challenge initially.

We still have a few players who are helping me out immensely with the clerical aspects of the game, so I wanted to personally thank Sir Owen and Monsieur Rose for the Herculean effort they have put into helping keep the game on track by doing the things I can’t keep up with. I have had a ton of recent activity, including a huge organized game summary that I can’t wait to post for everyone to see.

Thank you all for making this game what it has become! (just passed 30,000 total posts, so I think that’s good, right?)

Hey!!! One day Sir Crestbrook the Mighty will once again breath the hot sticky air of the island, ready and willing to take on all Maag jabs. Maybe petrification might be the key to knocking his ego down a notch or two...I doubt it.

All hail 30,000 plus posts!!! I for one have enjoyed roleplaying the last 1 1/2 years in the Big Shiny Island. So what if one of my characters got killed by a poison bite to his neck and another is currently turned to stone. Can't wait to see what happens next.

By coincidence, I noticed the post numbers last night. According to the numbers I could see, BSI is now bigger than the next three US games combined  This thing is a beast!

Thanks OM, and thanks to SirOwen and Monsieur Rose for their contribution too. :)

OM makes it look easy. But I cannot imagine how hard it must be to corral this many characters, this many players and this many story lines and keep track of all the mechanics. As always, my hat's off!!

Wow. Doesn't it make you feel somewhat proud that you're part of this and not just since yesterday? :P

We're getting a good group together for the Obelisk Expedition. Any more takers?

So far we have:
Two Wizards (Avaala and Chauncey - both with new, fun spells to try out :) )
A Druid (Wes)
Two Rangers (Cealwyn and Luther)
A Thief (Bonnie)

We could always use more healers and fighting types. But ANYONE is welcome.

Would love to gather more peeps Chauncey has never adventured with before. It's a real treat - you'll love it. Just ask Wes.

Oh yeah! Dex is on a mission with Narramore and Keg and some others to get goop, so it might be a bit before they're back. Were you wanting to wait till then to go, or leave sooner?

This is the difference between a dungeon designed by an Evil Wizard and one designed by a DM:

An Evil Wizard designs a trap to kill you. A DM designs a trap so you kill yourselves. :D

Personally I'd say there's no reason for anyone else to risk their necks. Maag is perfectly capable of auditing all that sweet, sweet loot. (Minus a small Handling Charge. And a Convenience Fee. And Swamp Tax. And Chimney Duty. And Cheese Insurance. And...)

I knew she was going to fail the dex check, she has an 8 dex after all. So tried a stunt anyways. She knew her odds were bad at pulling it off without getting hurt she has a 17 Wis after all.

MR and I are going to be doing a little construction work on the information threads that I have been neglecting. You might see new threads being opened and populated while we sort through this mess, but rest assured that once we get these new ones up and running, the information you need will be much easier to find.

So please excuse our mess while we add the new and toss out the old. Thanks!
