Alanis opens the door and reveals an empty hallway with 3 doors two to the left one to the right. Footprints in the dust show that "things" of a humanoid nature in numbers have been down this hallway before. There is a statue at the end of the hallway that is about 60' long (the hallway) and the hall is about 10' wide. The statue on the other end of the hall looks like this:

Pardon if i move things along too fast and don't wait around for everyone to post something.

I don't take offense to you moving things along. I know my schedule doesn't allow me to post at times and I don't want everyone else hung up waiting for me.
Neev is visibly repulsed by the statue. He mutters to no one in particular, "An affront to all Pelor holds dear."
Has Neev seen anything like this in his religious studies.

The paladin nodded in woeful agreement and thought, "Strange how Alanis was drawn to that door. Is this the "Rat King" of which he babbles?"

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Neev turns to Eirik. "I pray not. That is a Balor, a beast from the nine hells. Its presence here does not bode well for us."
Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Dune shudders at the mention of a Balor. Agreed, Neev. Dune listens at the first door.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
I pm'd the information to "Neev" but Eirik would also know roughly what a Balor was described to him as as well from his holy studies. "Remember that is a Statue. Not the actual demon." a divine voice speaks to Neev and Eirik.

Lubidius moves into the room, throws a worried look at the crazed Alanis and quickly steps away from the elf and begins to search the room for traps or anything else interesting....

Alanis shakes his head, as if he was recovering from some kind of dazed haze. He looks around, the light in his eyes seeming less maddened and more confused. he says nothing but heads into the hallway, tracking the footprints to see if a large number favor a specific door.
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.

Gandrel switches to bow (if he wasn't carrying before) and prepares himself for enemies to appear.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
The current room has no traps. The hallway before you has not yet been searched. What would you like to do? Go down the hall and be wary of the demon statue? Open the other door in the room? Go down the hall and open one of the 3 doors in it? Go back down the stairs to the caves?

Sorry I thought I answered that. Dune hears nothing.

The paladin concentrated his mind into the hallway of the blasphemous statue.
Detect evil in a 60' radius from this hallway, beyond as many doors as I can catch. Thanks.
Thanks.

Gandrel moves into the hall to help Lubidius search for traps, keeping an eye on the doors and statue for movement. If any detected he'll stop and retreat back to the party.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
The search reveals that two of the three doors appear to have some sort of crude trip wire triggered traps. The two thieves locate the wires just under the doors but easily disarm them. The detection of evil reveals no sighs of evil. Does the party approach the statue? Does the party open any doors now that the traps are taken care of? Please note the party's movements have added and messed up the prints in the dust this is a lot more movement in this hall than it has seen in some time it would appear.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
The door creaks a bit when Dune opens the door and the sound echos a bit but not loudly so. The door opens to reveal what looks like an old study. From the looks of things this room has not been used in a long while. Likely the orcs and their master when they took the keep just closed up the room and trapped it in case a slave wandered off.
