Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!

Under the pillow, Shmehk finds a small vial with some green powder in it. There seems to be a small spoon in the vial.

Shmehk shows his discovery to the others "Some kind of narcotic perhaps, or medicinal. I'll keep it safe, it might be worth something to somebody"

Fiapy:

"I will never understand people from Lankhmar, drugs, fancy pancy clothes, purple haze, stringing people up and butchering them,..ready to go when you all are."

Dunulk the Free

yep. Let’s check that next room.

Out, then? Which room do you guys want to go to next? There was the room the guards came from... which looked like a dining hall, and the door you can't opened from the 4 way intersection

[NJWilliam]

Dunulk points to the dining hall.

You move back to the door leading to the dining hall.

Two long trestle tables flanked by benches occupy this room. Standing candelabras, coated in dripped wax, stand unlit about the area. The tables are littered with pewter plates and wooden goblets. Barrels, small boxes, and modest sacks are stacked in the southeast corner.

One door exits the room to the west, and another one exits the room to the south, near the pile of goods in the southeast corner.

Fiapy:
“How do people live like this?!? I feel like a rat in a maze!”

“Let me know which door to smash next!”

[shaidar]

Shmehk glances around the room, then heads over to the door to the south and examines it

"Perhaps this one leads outside, it's got lots of heavy stuff stored near it"

Moving over toward the door, Shmehk can smell roasting meat and spice. It seems likely something is cooking on the other side of the south door.

Shemhk will listen at the door for sounds of movement in the room beyond

Yup, you hear the sound of someone moving things around in the kitchen... metal clanking and scraping on metal, and someone humming a tune.

Shmehk

"Pssst!" he gestures the others over, holding his finger to his lips to indicate silence.

Assuming the others come over, he whispers "Someone's in the kitchen, time to get some answers and a way out of here"

Fiapy:

Nods approvingly...
“After we eat of course, no meat though.”

Are you guys going in? Casually (in disguise) or weapons drawn/ attacking?

The scent of delicious food wafts over you. It occurs to you that you haven't eaten anything but a little bread and water in a day or so...
