Quinn checks on McCloud, ensuring that he is unharmed by the strange magic.

Since there are no exits from the hallway, Quinn will conduct a careful search of the walls starting at the edge of the pit and working east.

OOC: Welcome Ragnboneshopper!

"what the feerrrrrrck!".....McClouds' slow motion exclaimation comes out in full speed as he drops out fo the freeze frame. "He's alive...I'm alive!"McCloud will say and then try and question this little figure about how and when he got into the tomb, warily of course with claymore in hand in case more sleight of hand tricks.

OOC: so glad the rope trick of Quinns was halted, imagined getting pulled by the party back into the spiked pit!

happy new year, unlike McCloud my flask will be whisky full tonight, Och aye!!

"Whoa that was strange for a while! Well met Bagrin - are you a fortune or fame seeker or do you have a more noble cause for being in this accursed tomb?"

Welcome RS. You meet the same old faces around here dont you!

And of course "Merry New Year" to all!

Urdak seems more confused than normal. Ya... Ya mean lil Gnomen ain' stinky? He scratches his beard and hopes the new arrival didn't take too much offense to the remark of his Gnomely manhood being akin to that of a Halfling.

Welcome to the game, RS!

You greet the gnome and welcome him to the party (I'll let you role play that when Ragnboneshopper returns).

Your next move is not obvious: you appear to be at a dead end. Quinn conducts a careful search of the walls. He finds a loose stone in the north wall. When he presses the stone, a section of the wall surrounding it slides into the floor, revealing a 10x10 chamber beyond with a door on the north wall.

Please give me a new marching order now that Bagrin has joined the party. I'll use the order in the status line if I don't get a different one.

OOC: Due to the abundance of traps, shouldn't we have a thief in the front?

"Light the way with your torch first, what is in the room, another skeleton on a couch perhaps and more coffers of gold?"

Quinn checks the area in the other side of the secret door for traps. If he finds none he will check the door before listening at it.

Quinn finds no traps on the other side of the secret door and hears nothing beyond the door.

I'm assuming the order is as listed below. Feel free to correct me if you want something else.

Status: Quinn (B13(F7/T8)): 68/78; Urdak (Dwarf F10): 71/75; Bagrin 45/45; McCloud (F6/MU6/T10): 20/40; Skarlos (C10): 51/56

Quinn opens the door, illuminating the room within.

Quinn opens the door, revealing a chaotic scene.

The room is filled with funeary offerings and furniture. There are four rotting sofas, several splintered throne-like chairs, chipped and broken vases, damaged stands, upturned tables, and dented braziers, all jumbled together. Half a dozen chests and perhaps one to two dozen small coffers lie amidst the general havoc. Only the rather plain tapestries hanging on the east and west walls appear to have been spared a rough looting. The green and golden tan tapestries feature scenes of undersea life. A door is set in the north end of the east wall.

Loving Bagrim's avatar!

"They don't have the cleaners in much do they?! Quinn - you want me to magically look for traps first?"

should we attach any significance to the tapestries being untouched do you think? Surely one of the first things you do is rip the curtains down looking for safes/hiding doors, cupboards etc...

OOC: I wouldn't count it as insignificant. For the moment, I would say nobody touch them.

beware of trembling hands and what will maul.
If you find the false you find the true
and into the columned hall you'll come,
and there the throne that's key and keyed.
The iron men of visage grim do more than
meets the viewers eye.
You've left and left and found my Tomb
and now your soul will die

I think we have found at least one key so either we are looking for another key or we should beware of trembling hands or something that will maul us.

Quinn makes his way slowly into the room, testing the area in front of him with the butt of his spear. Once inside he will start a slow and deliberate search for traps.

Where will Quinn search for traps? There's a lot of stuff in the room, so I need more detail on what Quinn will examine.

McCloud will venture from our new erstwhile companion what he may remember of this tomb and room?
