Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
As you are taking a breath after pulling Fiapy from the mist, the door opposite the bedroom door opens, revealing three armed guardsmen.
They are surprised to see you, and hesitate!
Surprise:[1d6] = 2
The first player to act should roll a d6... if they get a 1-2, you guys are surprised, as well. If they get a 3-6, you get a free action against them!

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Notes:
Since the guards are surprised, Dunulk can "backstab" one (if you guys are not surprised). As a swindler, he doesn't get a bonus to hit, but he'll get an auto crit if he hits.
Fiapy now has Rabbits Foot, so he gets (with his currently 18 luck) a total of +4 to hit and damage, in addition to his deed die. You may specify a "mighty deed" if you get a 3 on the deed die.
Shmehk has his sword, so he can do mighty deeds with it, as well.

Shmehk
OOC: from your description, I'm not sure if they have their weapons drawn. If they don't have weapons drawn them Shmehk will try and knock one of them back (prone). If they have weapons drawn then he will try and disarm one.
Long Sword: to-hit [1d20] = 9, deed [1d3] = 3, dmg [1d8] = 6

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
They are on patrol, but their weapons are sheathed, so that would be an attempt to knock prone...
I forgot to mention, for purposes of figuring out if you hit (and if you want to spend luck) that they have AC 12, so Shmekh's attack will hit and successfully attempts to knock down his opponent, as with trips and throws, page 90. I'll resolve the details once everybody's actions are recorded.
Fiapy asked for his roll to be handled...
Fiapy rabbits foot: attack: [1d20+4] = 13+4 = 17 deed die: [1d3] = 3 damage [1d8+4] = 6+4 = 10

Dunulk
Seeing his opportunity, Dunulk backstabs!
Backstab w/ dagger: to hit [1d20+1] = 16+1 = 17, damage [1d10+1] = 3+1 = 4, crit table II [1d10] = 3

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Before the guards can even draw their weapons, you are on them.
Fiapy cries "Die Fools!" in Northspeak as he bashes his opponent in the face with his sword's basket built. He follows the punch up with a downward slash that sprays blood, dropping his opponent (10 damage).
Not to be outdone, Shmekh charges forward and runs through his opponent with his sword, slamming him backward into the room beyond the door (9 damage). His sword slides free of his opponent's body before he falls, and with a graceful flick, Shmehk is ready for more trouble.
Dunulk is more subtle. He slides up to the third man and smoothly inserts his dagger into the man's throat, before he can scream (11 damage). Dunulk catches the body and lowers it silently to the ground.
Zing! That was awesome
Everybody can have a fleeting luck!

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Dunulk the Free
Dunulk whispers loudly to the guard he just killed, Now you are free.
He then searches him, particularly for a flask or waterskin, and assesses whether the guard’s clothes could be used as a disguise.

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Shmehk glances around the room he pushed the guard into to make sure there are no further enemies within.

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
The guards are wearing what seem like pretty standard leather armor, though it is tailored in a somewhat distinctive way. Two problems you see with this plan are that they are all bald, and the armor is kind of bloody. Still, with helmets, in dim light, it might work for a short time...
They aren't carrying any water skins, but they seem to have come from (and fallen back into) an empty dining hall, which may have something like what you are looking for.

Fiapy:
Looks wide eyed at what his cell mates have done...tries to act cool...
Fumbles around a bit looking to see if he can use any of the armor or weapons, a nice backup weapon would be nice...

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Fiapy recovered all of his equipment in the jailer's room... does he want to abandon Rabbits Foot, or downgrade to lighter armor?

Dunulk the Free
Dunulk liberates a set of leather armor from a guard, and a helmet, and outfits himself with a set of their weapons as well.
”If we encounter more guards, maybe they’ll hesitate and we’ll get the drop on them.”
Looking back at the carpet, Think that rug’ll dispose of these bodies?

Shmehk also dons the armour of the guards, putting his padded armour away in his backpack.
OOC: not sure if he is allowed to wear a helmet? What weapons are they carrying?

Re: Chapter 1: In the Dungeon!
Yup, you can use a helmet.
Mechanically, the helmet protects you against critical hits to the head, but cause penalties on perception and some personality checks.
The guards have shortswords.
So two of you are disguising yourself, then you are dragging the bodies into the bedroom/ into the carpet.
Fiapy, do you want to join in the disguise plan, or stay in your thicker hide armor?
