Sotha said:

So, it looks like...
Sotha wants to place magic grenades in the caverns that hold women and children. His escape plan is teleporting the party out. I don't think he ever mentioned saving the slaves.

Saph agrees but wants an escape plan for the slaves too.

Sotha didn't reply yet about saving the slaves.

Ariknoq and Ulfang are going to caverns that hold male warrior orcs, not women and children.

Yes now I am confused also. Everyone needs to post on what they are doing. As a thief I am wanting to defeat the orcs than the Wyvern than going in after it treasure horde.

Ok. Looks like Sotha isn't going to kill the Wyvern for us. So, in front of us are the orc horde. Behind us is the Wyvern.

Options:
1) Divide our forces: half kill the Wyvern while half face the Horde at the 10 foot wide bottle neck at the cave entrance.

2) We pour all our oil across the cave mouth and set it alight to delay the Horde. Then all of us rush back and kill the Wyvern before the orc horde reach the Wyvern cave. Then, together we face the Horde.

3) Retreat into the tight tunnels in the shaman caves, where the Wyvern can't fit, and kill the orcs as they enter single file or two abreast.

One square = 10 feet.

Of these, I like 2 or 3.
Any other ideas?

It sounds like Sotha Sil made our minds for us. We either follow him or died in a cave-in with his grenades.

I pick 3 it is the only choice or die.

Yeah.

Sotha said he was laying grenades, then he'll return to us, and then teleport out with whoever of us don't want to die in the cave in. ;)

Given that our hand is forced, options 2 and 3 at least lure Orcs inside to perish in the cave in. The deeper back we go, the more Orcs will fit into Sotha's trap.

So I'll also vote for 3, unless anyone has other ideas?
