Kainaxarthos

"It's too dark for me, hold on I'll light a torch." Kain moves to light one and holds it aloft.

"That's better. Can't let Magda be the only light in our life."

"Which door? I'll give you some light."

The young witch blushes at the cleric's suave endearment, and welcomes the added light.

"Akhilleus might mean that door," she says pointing to the west, "which was left open the last time. Having freed themselves from Xenos' spell, the snake-men have either crossed this chamber to return to their lair to the east, or they're still behind the west door and are setting an ambush for us. Though I wonder if they suspect us coming this way? I doubt they could know of all the hidden passages we've used to come here, not to mention braving the golem."

Drest

Drests sword is also a light source.

"Not sure how far away but there are reptiles, probably snake men nearby."

Drest will check the west door for traps.

Sorry, the red X caught my attention and was thinking that was us, not the golem (for whatever reason). So Magda's interpretation comes in handy

Sik follows closely behind Drest, ready to assist if something should attack him.

The party cautiously follows Drest across the dark room to check for traps on the newly closed door.

Unsurprisingly, he finds no such thing on the outside of this wooden portal.

The earthy smell of the Snakemen is still prevalent inside this round room.

The glowing gem on Drest's sword is another tell-tale sign.

Drest

Whispering, "All lights out for a minute." He wills his sword to stop glowing and covers the light from the gemstone.

Drest will try to quietly open the door a couple of inches and look to see what is on the other side.

Kainaxarthos

He stands to the side and positions himself between the torch and the door. He whispers a warning. "You know that they see in the dark, right? Removing the light is only hurting us."

Drest

Whispering back, "I know you aren't to bright Kain so I will explain it to you. If I open the door even a crack and we have any lights going they will immediately know we are here. So yes we will not be able to see but I will have a much better chance of hearing them with the door open and I can call on my swords light in an instant if needed or I don't hear or sense anything."

Magda

The woman smirks at Drest's now familiar abrasiveness. Near the statue, she places her lantern on the floor and lowers its hood, but leaves it burning. Then standing over it, she obscures its light with the drapes of her outer cloak.

"Ah. I see. I have much to learn from someone of your position. Carry on." Kain moves even further away, so that the light doesn't disrupt the thief.

After the brutal verbal schooling of his Cleric friend, Drest douses his light source and cracks the door open for a look beyond it.

Unsure if he is relieved or not, the Scout detects no sound or light coming from the corridor. Letting his eyes focus for a moment, he no longer sees any bones, refuse, or bodies laying there in the darkness. In fact, the hallway looks completely clean and clear of anything that was there when you saw it last. Though he can't see beyond the bend into the next room, it too seems clear of any threats.

Drest

Whispering back to the others, "They have cleared it out already."

He calls on the light of his sword and if he doesn't see any immediate threat he will move quietly into the room.

Akhilleus

"We need the beds to build the raft. They might still be there. Keep your eyes peeled. Especially for traps."

He moves back to the group. "Is it safe?" He remarks with a grin.

Sik slowly approaches the room, stopping if he sees any signs of the snake men. If the coast is clear, he'll look to see what beds or bed remnants could be used to make a raft.
