Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
If I may add my interpretation of the Yagul attack routine.
So your strength gives you a +1 to hit, +3 damage
Weapon specialization adds +1 hit, +2 damage
Magic scimitar adds +1 to hit & damage one weapon.
However you use the two weapon fighting routine which from the DMG.penalises you -2 to hit main hand, -4 to hit off hand. You have no dex bonus to negate this. Assuming you wield two scimitars as two specialisms, (the book says dagger or hand axe only) your attack routine with the magic sword in your prominent hand would look like this:
Round one:
main hand: scimitar melee [1d20+1] damage [1d8+6]
Off hand: scimitar melee [1d20-2] damage [1d8+5]
Second round:main hand: scimitar melee [1d20+1] damage [1d8+6]
Off hand: scimitar melee [1d20-2] damage [1d8+5]
main hand extra attack: scimitar melee [1d20+1] damage [1d8+6]
Which is still awesome.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
2E combat gets complex pretty fast. Yagul is specialized in Scimitar and Two-Weapon Fighting Style (Fighters Handbook). He has the non-weapon proficiency of Ambidextrous. Thus he can use 2 weapons of equal length and suffers no penalties with either. I added the red below to highlight the most pertinent section.
Per the Fighters Handbook:
Two-Weapon Style
With this popular style, the fighter has a weapon in each hand—usually a longer weapon in his good hand and a shorter one in his off-hand. Unless the character has Style Specialization in this style, the second (off-hand) weapon must be shorter than the primary weapon.
Advantages
One great advantage to this style is that you always have another weapon in hand if you drop or lose one. A single Disarm maneuver cannot rid you of your weapons.
Disadvantages
The principal disadvantage to this style, as with some other styles, is that you don't gain the AC benefit of a shield.
Style Specialization
Please read the "Attacking with Two Weapons" section from the Player’s Handbook, page 96, before continuing.
If you devote a weapon proficiency slot to style specialization with Two-Weapon Style, you get two important benefits. First, your attack penalty drops; before, it was a –2 with your primary weapon and –4 with your secondary, but with Specialization in Two-Weapon Style it becomes 0 with your primary weapon and a –2 with your secondary weapon. (If you're already ambidextrous, as per "Off-Hand Weapons Use," above, that penalty is 0 with primary weapon and 0 with secondary weapon.) Second, you're allowed to use weapons of the same length in each hand, so you can, for example, wield two long swords.
When fighting with two-weapon technique, you can choose for both weapons to try the same maneuver (for example, two strikes, or two disarms), or can have each try a different maneuver (one strike and one parry, one pin and one strike). If the two maneuvers are to be different, each receives a –1 attack penalty.
Though rangers don't suffer the off-hand penalties for two-weapons use, they do not get a bonus to attack rolls if they devote a weapon proficiency slot to Two-Weapon Style. They do get the other benefit, of being able to use weapons of equal length.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
This is the information I was using to get the 5/2
Attacking With Two Weapons (PHB p.127)
The use of two weapons enables the character to make one additional attack each combat round, with the second weapon. The character gains only one additional attack each round, regardless of the number of attacks he may normally be allowed. Thus, a warrior able to attack 3/2 (once in the first round and twice in the second) can attack 5/2 (twice in the first round and three times in the second).
Two-Weapon Style (Combat & Tactics, p.77)
This is a difficult style to master, since it requires exceptional coordination and skill. Normally, characters who fight with a weapon in each hand suffer a -2 penalty to attacks with their primary hand and a -4 penalty to attacks with the off-hand weapon. This can be partially or completely negated by the character's reaction adjustment for Dexterity. Characters who specialize in this style reduce their penalty to 0 and -2, respectively. Ambidextrous characters who specialize in this style suffer no penalty with either attack.
The character's secondary weapon must be one size smaller than his primary weapon - but knives and daggers can always be used as secondary weapon regardless of the size of the primary weapon. Note that this means that for Man-sized characters, the secondary weapon has to be size S. However, if a character spends a second proficiency slot on two-weapon style specialization, he gains the ability to use two weapons of equal size, as long as he can use each one as a one-handed weapon. Rangers are considered to have the first slot of this style specialization for free as a character ability.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Looks good, I will change it to 5/2 when using dual scimitars. It doesn't look like that changes my bonus.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Sorry guys meant to start a combat round post up here the other day but after my 2nd COVID vaccine shot late Monday I was out of sorts for a bit, and then got busy after work most of the rest of this week. I'll see what I can get posted today/tonight.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Yeah, no worries. I felt terrible for a day, and had a low grade fever and night sweats for about another 3 days. Which one did you receive? Pfizer or Moderna?

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Oh yeah, I forgot about the headache (mostly my eyeballs, they ached, oddly enough). My arm didn't hurt much, surprisingly. When I got my flu shot, my arm hurt like hell for days. Also had the Moderna shot.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
I got my first shot of Pfizer just this last Tuesday. I didn't get a low fever, but I felt tired like I just want to take a nap. I did notice that I had a dry mouth but I assumed I wasn't drinking much water, to begin with. The arm was a little sore for a couple of days.
Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Sounds about like most of the people I know who have had it, rough for a day or 2 in some way. I get my first one Saturday so will see how it goes.

Yeah I heard a lot of people who had Moderna were feeling like crud for a bit before started feeling better. I think it just depends on your overall health.

Re: The Void (OOC Stuff)
Sorry about the lack of an update the family decided we were going to do Jackbox party pack 7 family game night. So I ran out of time. I'll work on it today.
The worse I heard was from the people that got the J&J shot most were sick for at least 2 days with fever, body aches, nausea, shakes, loss of energy.

You got this, Rex. Just be sure to drink plenty of water and if your coming down with a fever just take some Ibuprofen or Tylenol and get some rest.
