Yes and it is. Light from the spell gives you double the distance of a torch.

Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb
Erlthal stood nervously in front of the large double doors to the Temple. About 20 feet back a large group of Goblins and Hobgoblins stood watching. They had said all Erlthal had to do to be set free was walk through those doors, find the folks in there and help them bring out some sort of scepter. Well, better taking a chance than being stuck with those monsters!
The doors opened easily and the Ranger passed through into a dim ante-chamber with six empty chairs and a set of open double doors to the north. With a bang the doors to the outside world shut. Erlthal was committed now.
Passing through the north doors Erlthal enters the Nave of a chapel. A large hole in the floor and the scattered bones of skeletons and their weapons show a fight happened here recently, but no one is in this room now.
Moving forward Erlthal walks across the raised dais, seeing a large stone altar. Then sees an open door to the east. There are lights in that room.
Behind them, out in the Nave, the party hears movement!
Your turn!

Willow again watches their rear at the doorway. Her bow comes up, the pinched face of the Halfling woman wary. "Who the hell are you?"
Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb
Erlthal hears this. It is coming from beyond that open door where there are lights.
OOC: Feel free to enter and describe yourself...and explain you were sent in by the Hobgoblins to see what is taking so long. They said it has been two days since those you are looking for entered the temple.

Erlthal
"Erlthal is my name" - the elf nodded, his hands out wide and non-threatening - "Luck turned against me while I was tracking the goblins and their hobgoblin leaders, or associates, haven't understood yet why they are cooperating" - he explained - "And for some strange reason they simply did not murder me outright" - Erlthal shrugged - "And instead said if I came in here, found the other folk in here and help them bring back some sort of... Scepter? Then they would set me free. Seemed like a no-brainer deal to me" - he chuckled - "Could it be you are the 'other folk' they were talking about?"

Fergus
A young, muscular, human man steps up behind Willow. He wears shiny chain mail and has a sword. He eyes the elf suspiciously.
"There's nothing other about us, friend. Did they send you to check up on us? We've only been in here, what, an hour or two at most?"

"Can't even tell the time properly by the sounds of it. Or they need to learn the language properly."

"Is that even possible?" - Erlthal replied to Ulfgar - "I am not very well versed in magic"

Naugrim snorts. "Just like Ord to mess with the Laws of time."
Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb
Wendel looks at Naugrim
"Insulting Ord in one of his own temples does not sound wise to me. As the god of magic and knowledge, who knows what might be achieved in his holy places."

The middle-aged human, wearing mostly red, looks at the newcomer.
"I am Wendel, a wizard. Any help you might give would be welcome, although having learned more about this sceptre I'm not sure the hobgoblins should have it."

"I am positive the hobgoblins should not have it. So Erlthal, you are an elf but don't know much about magic. What exactly do you do?"

Erlthal
"Well met Wendel - why do you say they should not have it, if I may ask? I mean apart from the fact they are Goblins? And powerful magic in their hands may spell danger for surrounding communities"
"That is a good question" - the elf pondered - "I am a woodsman, a tracker, and a skirmisher I guess" - Erlthal explained - "You know my name and what I do. What about yourself Master Dwarf?"

Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb
"Actually, no one has mentioned the scepter being magical," offers Naugrim. "The scepter gives a goblin the rightful claim to be Goblin King. The legendary warrior entombed here killed the last goblin king and kept it, so the goblins haveve been squabbling among themselves ever since."
"I am Naugrim, Priest of the Laws."
