OOC and MIA
Re: OOC and MIA
Frank doesn't need any covert armour, he already has some.
I dont see SMG as listed in the Gun Combat skill cascade list, is that an omission, or is it covered elsewhere?

Re: OOC and MIA
True. However, Polly does which keeps the numbers the same.shaidar wrote:Frank doesn't need any covert armour, he already has some.
You are correct. I can only assume omission. CE collated a lot of old sources and tried to tidy them into a coherent whole. While achieving this in a lot of cases I think that here they just missed out SMG! My reason being that since they've included shotgun as an exception to general "rifles" (which it is on effective range/ballistic performance etc) then SMG should be separate too.shaidar wrote:I dont see SMG as listed in the Gun Combat skill cascade list, is that an omission, or is it covered elsewhere?
By no means a disaster as you can surely fire it at skill 0 and rely on autofire to get you on target rather than marksmanship if you've not taken the specific skill.

Re: OOC and MIA
Prerna wants a 13mm/50 cal. pistol with two spare mags, the covert armor, a set of appropriate street clothes and low boots, and a comm unit. The Bindoner wrote:Here's my shopping list, suggest edits:

Re: OOC and MIA
I can't think of anything general to add to that list. Should we worry about getting some medkits?
Re: OOC and MIA
why do we need 5 sets of armor?

Re: OOC and MIA
I have a first aid kit, hopefully that's enough. We could invest 1KCr in a full medkit...
Edited list above to include 2nd Imperial Eagle, drop Autopistol.
One of the 5 sets of Coth was already for Perna, as was the comm. How much do you want to spend on clothes?
EDIT:
1 set of Covert Cloth each - low profile body armour so we don't look very obviously like security. 1 more set for Polly, because she is the translator/designated Liaison with the Aslan ( Jess is paying for that, can always sell it later )

Re: OOC and MIA
save 500cr.
Frank already has covert armour, a tailored vacc suit with chameleon surface option.

Is that something you can wear under clothes without looking.. bulky? If so, glad to save the money.Frank already has covert armour, a tailored vacc suit with chameleon surface option.
OK, 200 it is. Nicer clothes than meNot more than Cr200.
Re: OOC and MIA
Frank appears to be wearing a high tech polo neck suit under his external clothing. It has no appreciable bulk.
You can order and collect 200Cr worth of clothing off the peg from one store in the time available.
Another automag is purchased! (Hurrah! )
You are not the "A Team" you guys are "Magnum Force"!
The automags are a whole lot of pistol while the HEAP combat snub is "Check dental records" ...
I will assume some investment in medical gear but, put broadly, the more you spend the more options the Medic has ...

Re: OOC and MIA
*sigh* 'Kay, I'll spring for the full medkit. Sure we'll need it one day. Coming off the total score though, shared expense.
- unless the group decides against the buy, of course.

I think a medkit is an investment.
If nothing else I'll be learning a lot about weapons from this game.
I've only got ordinary ammo, I didn't think about HEAP, I'll sort it out next time.

Re: OOC and MIA
HEAP is for Snub Pistol only. Want to add to the order?
Re: OOC and MIA
Is there a downside to the snub pistol over an automatic pistol? It appears not, it's cheaper, lighter and has no recoil.
Don't worry about it right now, I've already got the auto pistol, accessories and plenty of ammo, let's not spend at the moment unless we really need to.

Re: OOC and MIA
The snub can not be sound suppressed (and neither can its rocket propelled exploding ammo! ). The ammo is likely illegal if found in a search but that seems unlikely from the current posture of Colace's finest (who seem pragmatic and honest as far as cops go).shaidar wrote:Is there a downside to the snub pistol over an automatic pistol? Diverse ammo gives more tactical options - especially with the revolver as the chamber can be manually rotated to put the round you want under the hammer.
Physically the auto snub is a bit of a cannon but you guys like a big pistol!
I don't believe anyone's actively trying to conceal their pistols but this would be easier with smaller weapons or those specifically designed as concealable/holdout weapons.
I'll allow any reasonable retcons to the shopping as we go forward.
Re: OOC and MIA
Pros and Cons then. Variety and options are always good.
Frank's pistol is in a shoulder holster, under his coat (with his shotgun), so hopefully not immediately obvious.
He's trying to blend in and follow the main group looking inconspicuous, looking out for anyone taking undue attention to the group without being noticed himself.

Re: OOC and MIA
Jess has the Snub in that satchel and an Autopistol moved to the right coat pocket. Trying to look like a tourist means no open carry.
Bearing in mind the Recon roll I'm assuming the wizard wheeze of looking at shop windows to use the reflection for covert observation isn't going well...

Oh it's going great - Jess moves unseen and is blending in like a local!

Aw, be fair, it wasn't a roll of 2 Good reference, haven't seen that in years.Oh it's going great - Jess moves unseen and is blending in like a local!

I'd assumed we'd stay together - Recon guy and backup. Since Jess has no Recon or Streetwise.Frank takes up a complementary flanking position to Jess and the main group.
