Maybe Kelben will go buy a lot of healing potions. :)

Crazy work week. I had two major presentations I've been preparing for (on top of all my normal responsibilities) and just finished the first of the two. Which is a relief.

My plan is to try and move all my games today, which, if I'm being realistic, probably won't happen. I'm thinking you guys leaving Oakhurst and officially kicking off part two will be more involved, as there is a lot of information to share, so this game may be the one to get delayed. We'll see how it goes.

But, we'll definitely get moving here soon.

I added 2 potions of healing to Kelben's sheet.

Rickwrick took two potions. He doesnt have proficiency in cartography tools, though. Anyone else? Also, what sort of ability checks will be needed for making a map?

I didn't check to see if anyone has actual proficiency with cartography tools (I assume not), but anyone should be able to at least scratch out some details using an ink and quill on parchment (you just won't do so proficiently, and won't apply your proficiency bonus to any check).

It doesn't have to be great. As I have been, I will continue to supply details of the map in small details (usually at the room level). You can simply plot them on your map and connect them with lines. There are no rules. No minimum amount of detail. Anything you're able to provide will be a great benefit to them, but the level of compensation will be dependent upon the quality of the product presented.

Just have fun with it... or don't even attempt it.

P.S. It appears Sky has claimed the cartography tools.

D&D Beyond just announced a new 'Campaign Character Limit Updates' update, and I'm still trying to figure out how I can best take advantage of these changes.
Essentially, it used to be where each game could only have 12 characters in it. Now they've changed the limit from characters to players.

The "problem" that I currently have has to do with the fact that you can only enable content sharing in three campaigns, and I have my four games organized into four individual campaigns:

After taking a quick inventory, it turns out that I only have 13 unique players (19 total characters) across all four games:
Players.jpg
Players.jpg (85.76 KiB) Viewed 1119 times
This is just one over the limit, otherwise I could have thrown everyone into a single group. I'm not even sure how/if that would make things easier? But, it would definitely remove the content sharing issue, and also allow for a lot of room for expansion (e.g. new players).

Interesting.

Even though I do have characters built (or in development) on D&D Beyond, I've only ever used the tool as a DM, not as a player. So, to see how things worked from a player's perspective, I added a couple of my characters into different campaigns I have created. As a player, things are actually organized fairly well:
Characters.jpg
Characters.jpg (34.01 KiB) Viewed 1119 times
I was worried that I would complicate things for you guys if I shuffled things around, but the only real change is on my end.

Okay, this is helpful.

I'm going to spend some time planning out how I want to reorganize everything, but do expect for me to be requesting that you use the 'Leave Campaign' option on your characters and join a new campaign I've created instead (using new invite links which I will create and send out).[/ooc]

Also, after losing one player in one of my games, that brings my total down to twelve, which is the limit allowed in a campaign. I think, for now, I'm just going to try throwing everyone into a single campaign to see how that works.

If I could have everyone leave the current campaign you're in:
Remove.jpg

Then, once you're a free agent again, join this one instead: Unseen Servant #1.

This will need to be done for all characters, so those of you in two games will need to do this twice.

Thanks![/ooc]

I can see how having multiple characters in the same campaign might be a little confusing, so I've gone ahead and created a second campaign, leaving me with two:
  • Dungeons (e.g. Yawning Portal, Hero's Light)
  • Dragons (e.g. Tyranny of Dragons)

If you have more than one character, and want to keep them separated, feel free to move your second character accordingly.

I need to apologize for this, too.

I'm in a serious rut right now.

I've been able to bring myself to check into the site here regularly, and have checked into my games, but haven't been able to bring myself to even start working on actually updating them.

For whatever reason, my motivation for gaming seriously lacking right now. :(

So, I guess, just be aware that things are kind of slow right now for a reason, but hopefully it won't last much longer.

This, sadly, hasn't really changed.

That said, I just put in for some time off from work -- the rest of this week plus next Monday -- to give myself a nice little break, and a chance to recharge. I'm hopeful that I can get all my games up and running again over the next few days, or in time for the start of next week.

Take a break if you need to Dave. I was in a big rut it's whittled down a bit and actually today got a bit better. But I still get or at least can relate Dave take a break if you need it. We can always revive the game later on when you are good and ready for it. :)

I agree with Ed. I'd rather you take a longer break and recharge completely and have enthusiasm again than come back too early and not feel it. I get into a rut occasionally as a player, even, so I can imagine trying to run games when you just don't feel like it. I'll be ready to play again whenever you are ready to run.

Take time for you Dave. I'm enjoying your games and am on board with whatever you need to do.

I've been laid up for a bit anyway. I had some emergency surgery this weekend since my 14 yo kicked me in the face. :D
Remind me to wear a helmet next time I spar with him.

I'm good, but I didn't feel up to some things. I'm getting back into it today.

Mainly nasal. Slight fracture of the left orbit, but I have a prosthetic eye there and it got a bit displaced and embedded. Fun. I would blame poor peripheral vision on that side, but it's more likely due to him getting faster and me not wearing proper gear. And yes, all the women in my life have sufficiently chastised me. Even the doctors.

And I can't even claim that "you should see the other guy".
