B S Here (I)
Re: B S Here
I did consider Speak With Animals for Wes' first spell. But I figured that since they were 50-60'away and underwater, they just wouldn't hear him. I'll try it next round, assuming Wes isn't knocked on his ass (8 Dex; not promising ).
I also wanted to save the last Speak With Animals in case the ship sinks and we all end up in the water:
"Hey guys! Don't eat me! Try the half-orc!He tastes like bacon!"

Re: B S Here
The spell only lasts 2 rnds. I'm going to try to open with something along the lines of "Hey why are you attacking us? We are just passing by, we'll be gone soon. Look how much we can hurt you. We don't want to kill you but we will if you keep doing this"
Anybody got any better ideas?
Rnd 2 I'm going to try and get them to chase after the Green Flash instead.
If nothing else, The spell will give us 2 rnds to come up with a better plan

Re: B S Here
difficult to speak with animals already engaged in melee with you, so you might be better off saving the spell. You already know it wants to eat you and in the middle of an ocean it can't direct you anywhere or tell you very much. Plus the radius of the spell means you'll have to swim fast to keep up with it.
Folk with spears could do double damage vs charging creatures if they can get over the side of the boat and brace for impact,

Re: B S Here
Like Jernau said, it buys us two melee rounds where none of them will attack us.
Also, if these predators are neutral, he could ask a favor.

Re: B S Here
Mea Culpa! I used the wrong die rolls for a couple of ability checks. I've fixed the problem, I hope.

Don't sweat it Bob!
This first bit is designed specifically for "greasing the wheels and fixing the kinks" if you get my meaning.
It's all good!

I like it when I look down at the "who's on line" box and I can see 5 or 6 of us all on here at the same time.
We may as well just play FtF.

Thanks, fellows. Good to be here.
Did I steal this idea? I might have. (Not on purpose!) I keep getting the feeling I inadvertently borrowed the whole "running from evil parent" thing... if I did it was just lodged in my subconscious...Inferno wrote:Welcome, Pixie!
