Noon - Day one

The Bakery

Othmar walks into the bakery, with the smell fresh bread in the small store. The bread is already well sold down at this time of day, though you see in the back a woman fussing with a girl at a oven. Seeing you she wipes the flower off her fingers on her apron and heads to Othmar.

"Hello good sir, I do not recognize you, Welcome to my Bakery, I also serve as the town's royal post location, the kind lord gave me that when I became a widow. Can I help you with some bread, or do you have a message that needs to be sent out. If you need to dictate it you need to go to the docks or the inn-keep, they are the only ones here that have there full letters. I can read, just can't write. "

Drowned Man-Inn

The Inn is quite full, with half the town it seems in the inn for food or a beer. Outside is a sign of a man being kissed my a mermaid, drawn so her back tactfully hides her front as she kisses the man. Innside it is quite bright, with a fire keeping any chill away. The Common room has small round tables and a bar, and it appears that there is a more private dining area in the back. The West wall is covered by a mural of a Merman using his trident to slay a sea-serpant, and the east wall has hunting trophys on the Northern side, and a series of paintings/drawings on the South east side.

The Barkeep and a blond tavern wrench are keeping the front (Southwest side) , and the Barkeep smiles when you come in.

"Welcome travelers, Welcome to the Drowned man. I have not seen your faces, perhaps you need some ale after your journey, or even better, do you need rooms?"

Drowned Man-Inn

Patrus smiles as he responds to the barkeep Yes please, kind sir, your ale will be more than welcome. We will probably need accomodation as well, but let us deal with that after your ale and food have lifted our spirits.

But of course.

The ale is normal price, but the food is double the normal rate.

Patrus orders stew with bread or whatever else is on the menu and tries to secure a table, preferentially close to a window or otherwise from which the group can have a view of the street outside.

"Daughter named Holly? Why, I have a daughter named Briar, but never had a daughter named Holly, and belive me, I would know if I gave birth again. I am sorry you been run on a big chase for nothing, but don't have a daughter named Holly." She calls over the girl "And in case if there was some confusion, Briar here is not missing"

Aicanar will sit in the tavern, sip an ale, and keep his elven ears open for any stray rumors.

Your husband's brother, Zentile, sent me here to provide help you don't need finding a daughter you don't have. Have you known him to cause trouble like this in the past? He didn't seem like an eccentric when I met him last week.

Seeing this lead to be a dead end, the dour warrior looks around the bakery to see if any pies are still for sale.

It's a ridiculous question, but I don't suppose your late husband had any enemies that would go to that sort of effort? Othmar asks a bit absently, pretending more interest in the pie than the answer, but pays close attention to her response.

If you going to be going asking questions, might want to talk to Lord Theion Kirsham, he is the keeper of the King's Peace on the island, and if there is someone missing, it might be best to tell him as he is the keeper of the law on the island. "
