I think I can squeeze in a Ranger type though how that fits in with professor trade not sure. A pioneer of the iron horse railways or an archeologist digging up fossils?
I will read up the PHB classes tonight and fill in my sheet with a choice.
Don't feel restricted by the Random Occupation received. Its there for a creative background.

I think I might play a mammon focused health, wealth and prosperity preacher (Mystic cleric/druid) who travels the regions selling his cure-all snake oils and touting his 'hundred fold return'.

Each character starts with 3d8 dollars and basic clothing.
Just 3d8 or 3d8 (x10)?
Poverty is a great motivation for adventure.

Is Stirling's character the only one who's Random Profession came with a Firearm?

Some finishing points for Characters:
Armor Class = 10 -1 (for level) - DEX Adjustment.
Fate Points = (WIS + DEX) /2 and round down. I'll explain later what this is for.
Alignments per 1e/OSRIC

Updated Character Status:
I've assigned a firearm to each character.
Reference
Zebedee's profession came with a firearm, so I've upgraded it to a Pocket Pistol.
Each weapon comes fully loaded.
Each character receives 1d12 extra rounds of ammunition.

English is the "common" language, followed by German, Spanish and French. Other languages exist in the Federation (various European) and the surrounding lands, notably Chinese in Fusang, Latin in the Papal Provinces, Slavic dialects in the Slavic Frontier and the Mande languages in the Mali colonies.
The fictional language of Muhrese is still spoken in Tequanasis.
