"That's what I heard too," says Baby Blue. She leans forward. "Verified his home address. Apparently he's a guardian angel to street kids. Gives them money for information, even if the info's useless. Helps get them setup with gangs and other employment. Even fed a bunch of them once so long as they took a shower. Kind of person you dream about, when you're curled up in the corner of a dingy alley on a sleet-filled night, nibbling on a crust of bread you nicked from the restaurant dumpster."

"Either Simpleton's lying, or he's an idiot. Sets up Ace like he's some bumbling fool, but he isn't. He's got half the street kids in Seattle in his backpocket, and the other half jostling for a spot. And since he's so helpful getting his kids placed, he's got folks who owe him embedded in gangs all over the city. The kids in his pocket go by the name 'Irregulars.' Sort of an unofficial street gang. Might even try to protect him, if things go hot, instead of scattering like I'd expect. Seems to be pretty generous with his apartment mates too. Enough so, they don't mind filthy street rats coming and going."

"We know he's got a competent Decker on his side, based on some of the trouble Pandora ran into before she got fried, though I think she got fried by something unrelated. Something weird in the Lonestar...well, she called it. Don't know what a 'well' is when it isn't a hole in the ground piping up water. But sounds unrelated to Ace."

Baby Blue sighs and massages her forehead. "He got on the bad side of some slavers from the Caribbean League, one Ach-Mad. Play on Achmed I presume. Ace brutalized the man, left him for the Star, but Ach-Mad got away before the Star got there. Doubt Ach-Mad is behind this though, seeing as they want us treating Ace all gentle like. The one tidbit that really stood out to me is Aztechnology. Near as I can tell? Ace's afraid of them. He won't do runs for or against Aztechnology. Tells all his Irregulars to stay the hell away from the Aztechnology arcology. I'd be willing to bet, the guy who hired Simpleton to kidnap Ace is related to Aztechnology. Maybe working for them, or against them. Houston ain't far from Aztlan after all, and them wanting to force Ace to take a job he doesn't want would line up with what Simpleton said. Of course, that leaves the question of why they'd want so bad to hire Ace, when there are plenty of other Runners, even nova-hot ones, that'll be happy to take Aztech creds."

"I heard that too, about the kids, Ach-Mad and Aztec. He's seems to have almost run for everyone, but he flies solo and doesn't stick with a group for too long, just a job or two. I did hear that this Lore guy we are meeting in Houston is a high-end fixer, he uses his nightclub to launder money."

"Well, hopefully that means we won't have a bunch of Shadowrunners pissed at us for kidnapping their chummer. You got info on the guy we're handing Ace off to too? Great. I don't suppose you got any more?" Baby Blue glances at El Cid. "Any chance we might be able to hire your decker friend to rustle up some info on this Lore guy? It'd be great if we could get a sense of what corps he tends to work with."

"There is chance I might get more on this Lore, but I think it's unlikely, none of my contacts have much pull Texas way. He's not exactly a loner, he has his irregulars and he seems pally enough with a a bunch of runners to use them to pulls teams together for a job. Now, grabbing him in daylight is a problem if he has eyes and ears everywhere, but he's a gambler and is usually over at Murphy’s Law most nights not far from here. I hear that parking is bad over there and he usually has to walk a block or to to get to his van."

"I can ask." El Cid says. "She more of a forger than decker, at least that's what she claims. Makes good IDs."

El Cid smiles. "That's not going to be a problem. I happen to know Ace will be there tonight, late in the evening. He's got some personal meeting that he plans to get drunk for. Ace invited me to join him for moral support. So when I walk him out sometime after 2am-ish, should be a relatively easy grab."

"Artic! As for the grab, I heard that Ace is wired, up to date stuff. I also heard that he has a serious allergy to two-thirds of the cyber-inhibitor drugs out there. My contact thinks it's something to do with soy, as he doesn't touch the stuff. The Star almost killed him one time when they took him in and injected him with an inhibitor, even thought he warned them."

"Well, there's a convenient allergy," says Baby Blue. She shakes her head. "I'd love to get my hands on Star records, see if that actually happened. Where'd you hear that from? Ace likes to have his kids spread rumors about him, true or not. And that's one I'd definitely want to spread if I'm wired up to the gills with cyber."

"I trust my contact on this. All the charges got dropped, he got off scott free. I have another contact who I could ask who might be able to confirm this, but I don't want to expose her to any trouble."

"In my experience," El Cid interjects, "Ace has been pretty consistent about avoiding soy products." El Cid shrugs, "Could it be an act? Seems like a lot of effort."

" according to new information i just recieved from a contact and I qoute "O’Riordan isn't some beginner nobody that Simpleton has never heard of before, which is what he told us. O’Riordan is Ace, a very experienced 'runner with connections everywhere. He's way out of our league and he has no compunction about killing if he needs to. Ace seems to be Simpleton's main rival. That brings up all kind of questions about why Simpleton would pick Gumberoo and what his real agenda is. It's not some 'test', like Simpleton told us, In my opinion. It's just not worth getting involved with whatever conflict those two have with each other." I think we need to make and have multipule plans for this and that they will need to be air tight." sighs "Plans we may or may not have the resoources for and we need plans for both Ace and simpleton as well as contengency plans if we go the opposite of said plans. Espicially now that we have no magical support ."

"Alright. We'll call it real then," says Baby Blue. She glances at Tears. "Aye yup, that's been obvious soon as Pandora discovered Ace's got a high class Decker on his payroll. I figure folks can bail if they want, but I don't have a whole lot else to fall back on. So anyone who wants to can walk away, I won't hold it against you. The rest of us, I guess we get down to brass tacks on how we're getting the guy. Revs you wouldn't happen to know what supplies Headstone is grabbing would you? Like, do you know if he's been able to get his hands on an inhibitor drug that Ace isn't allergic to?"

Looks at Baby Blue " That is information I have never gotten, Nor was I at any meeting concerning that. This is what I was saying about Information. If we wait until we get together to share things we cant make progress or learn. So this is new information for me. So why inst pandora here and what information does pandora have. And where is Headstone if this is a meeting for us to plan Why isnt he here. I dont plan to bail on this as I need it as well BUT I do want to come out of it in Less than Two peices."

Baby Blue puffs out a breath. "Sorry. It's been a day. After the meeting with Simpleton, Pandora rustled up some info on him. Home address, SIN, phone numbers, work address, vehicle information, his above board day job running a bodyguard service. However, some of his phone numbers were routed through some proxies in a very professional manner. That was our first clue there's more to Ace than Simpleton let on. El Cid showed up about then, and identified him as Ace. Apparently, El Cid's run for Ace before. Anyway, we had Pandora go skating in Lonestar's matrix for dirt on Ace. She ran into something on there. Something weird, that fried her good. We got her unplugged, and called in one of El Cid's friends, a medic by the name of Preacher. She's at Preacher's clinic right now, over in the Barrens. She's asleep. Stable, seems to be ok, but in no shape to go Decking for a few months. After that, Headstone and Revs went off to do some legwork, while El Cid and I went to scrape the rust off some of my street level contacts. And what we're doing right now, is discussing what we learned."

All the information on ace we have is actually out there now. And now that ive had a chance to read her texts I have missed I can see all the invormation she sent so we all have it. He smiles broadly, "But if we succeed at this job, it will open a lot of doors for all of us. Ace may be a big time spider, but there's only one of him and eight of us. We plan this right, it'll be a walk in the park."
