"Here's what you get for your printer time!" Sigrún gestures crudely in the direction of the voice beyond the Port authority men's view and then risks non uni-directional movement (and ligament damage) "Yes! Are there any Imperial Navy ships in port? New citizen, I am a big air conditioner... no... wait... a fan!" She "huffs" in demonstration "I will blow on them all, yes?"

She asides to Zaki "I hate myself now but am I under selling it?"

Karcsi focuses a exaggerated motion back at Pinkie that is basically a monkey flinging feces when the captain turns his back.

He will follow along with the inspection of the ship.

Griggs nods, "No, no exit inspections are required. We prefer a flight plan to next destination to be filed, but all that is really required is to file for a departure lane out to a jump point."

Turning to Zaki he adds, "The Export Coop is your best bet for any sort of agricultural exports. They have cargos going out all the time. Most are under contract to bigger lines, but there are always small lots available. Harrison Mining & Minerals sells ..well minerals they mine..and there are a few art galleries in Tokensport that sell art for export."

"Don't forget Jenson!"
interrupts Lt. Jeffers, to which Griggs grimaces, "Yes, Hank Jenson is the best of a few independent brokers in Tokensport. You never know with Jenson and as I said he's the best of the bunch. Eclectic bits and dabs of returns, seconds, things that didn't sell, weren't picked up, or went to pay off duties from deadbeat ships and ended up being auctioned off. That's what Jenson deals in."

You docking fees are transferred over to the Port Authority and a trio of techs make the necessary electrical and plumbing connections between your ship and the port.

Griggs and Jeffers bid you good day, again wishing you a pleasant and profitable visit to Plume before they leave.

When you check your comms for messages you find you already have several...

1. Karl Towns Tours asking for your destination and if you are taking passengers.

2. Aceias Taquin asking if you are bound for Jenghe and can take 3 passengers. She has 3 clients anxious to get there: a Vargr and a Human couple. All three will take anything, including a Low Passage, if you can get them there quickly.

3. Hank Jenson called to let you know he can buy and sell goods here and if you have goods to sell would like to visit your ship to look over your cargos. He mentions that he charges a 5% fee for transactions he performs.

4. Enerita Blossup from The Export Coop called to let you know there are several small freight lots waiting to be shipped to Extolay, Jenghe, and Dinom that she could contract you to ship.

5. Douha Jin left a message that as a licensed broker here on Phlume he is available to facilitate sale and purchase of goods and for new customers has a special discounted fee of 2%.

You have a full cargo hole, and won't be able to buy anything or take on freight contracts if you don't. Are you intending to sell goods here?

Are you interested in any passengers, even Low Berth ones?

How long do you intend to remain here on Phlume? It will be a week if you intend to sell and buy goods and/or take on freight contracts or passengers. If you just want to refuel, resupply, and jump then plan on a couple of days. So, stay aboard ship or take "shore leave? Stay inside the Starport (there are Chandlers and Taverns) or leave the Port and go into Tokensport?

Suspecting her disguise may need more work Sigrún resists the temptation to try it out on the town.

She offers "Let's take cold berth passengers they are... reasonable and not needy people".

Zaki buys the supplies and some local delicacies...seafood, exotic fruits and actual real coffee beans (14k total).

The local hospitals do not have the facilities to really help her patients...she'll need TL10, at least, for that. Does Zaki try to find the nearest systems that have TL A or above?

Flighty will go with his advice.
You can't buy any goods until you free some cargo space. You've got some contacts for selling goods here who do you talk with?

I'll want a list of the Training Materials you buy at this time

(as a reminder)
The following hours (Jump Space Weeks) and costs are required to attain each level of skill improvement:
Available at C+ Level Starports
Level 0 - 40 hours (2 weeks in jump studying/training) 100 cr
Level 1 - Level 0 + 80 hours (4 more weeks) 200 cr
Level 2 - Level 1 + 160 hours (8 more weeks) 400 cr
Level 3 - Level 2 + 320 hours (16 more weeks) 800 cr
Level 4 - Level 3 + 640 hours (32 more weeks) 1,600 cr
Level 5 - Level 4 + 1280 hours (64 more weeks) 3,200 cr
Intelligence (max 15)
  • Intelligence Boosting is a slow, costly, High Tech procedure consisting of taking a costly drug and using special equipment worn on the PC’s head while sleeping. A one week on, one week off, procedure makes this process amenable to use during Jump Weeks by Travellers.
  • A course of treatment with the Algernon Drug and its accompanying hardware/software may be purchased on Worlds of TL 12+ for 1,000 cr. The Drug and accompanying gear used for only one course of treatment and new stronger drugs and gear must be purchased for each subsequent course of treatment.
  • Beginning a course of the Algernon Treatment immediately raises the PC’s Int Characteristic, temporarily, by 1.
  • Completing a course Algernon Treatment takes 26 Jump Weeks (1 week in jump, 1 out of jump) or 1 year, and makes the Int increase permanent.
Education (max Int Characteristic)
  • May only improve Education up to the level of the PC’s Int Characteristic.
  • General Education Tapes (software) may be purchased for 100 cr times the PC’s current Edu level.
  • General Education Tapes may be purchased wherever Skill Training courses are available.
  • At the end of each Jump Week the PC must succeed on an Easy 4+ Task to have completed that week’s courses.
  • Completing 26 weeks of course work raises Edu level permanently by 1.
