V. Going Underground
Re: V. Going Underground
If possible, Siirist moves around Morgan and tries to get to 20 to see if he can get a line of sight on p4 or p5. If he can, he'll raise his hand, muttering a few words quietly to himself.

Re: V. Going Underground
Sasha curses as she sees the foolish dwarf fall, knowing full well that she is now the groups only front line and very possibly the next one to die.
She swings her sword at the armored figure and hopes that the men others behind her have a better plan of attack than simply chatting with each other or running away.

Pendleton, his back almost literally against the wall, sighs. "I suppose I must resort to violence," he says to himself. "Or at least try."
He pulls out a flask of oil and throws it at p3. The oil smashes on the armored man's head.
"Well, how about that!" says Pendleton. "That actually worked!"
"Anyone have a light?" he asks.

Bingus has ideas on why this might be, but he's too terrified to talk now. All he can muster is a cry as the dwarf falls. Feeling quite helpless, he hangs on to the rope ladder.Zhym wrote:Pendleton watches the combat with interest—from a safe (he hopes) distance.
"Don't you find it interesting," he asks Bingus, "that we saw primitive tribesmen descend to this place, but the men we have encountered are all in heavy armor? I wonder what the relationship is between these two seemingly disparate groups."

If possible, Morgan moves to 16 and fires an arrow at the armored man attacking Dagg:
Bow attack (Lvl 1, AC +3): [1d20+4] = 13+4 = 17, damage [1d6] = 2

Round 4
The armored guard with the broadsword quickly nudges the fallen dwarven body aside with his leg and steps to attack Sasha, but swings wildly. The pair of trailing guards, aware that they're taking fire, each wildly throw their spears at Phineas before splitting up. The first rushes forward while the rearmost guard backs up a step to the west to try and maximize his cover.
Sasha curses as she witnesses Dagg fall, and the rampaging guard advance upon her. After avoiding being struck herself, she swings her sword at the armored figure and catches it with a glancing blow. Behind her, Bingus, too terrified to talk, cowers while he hangs on to the rope ladder. Pendleton, backing up into Bingus, pulls out a flask of oil and throws it at approaching guard, landing a perfectly placed strike on the armored man's head. "Anyone have a light?" he asks.
"Where there's armored men with spears, there's treasure," Phineas says as he delivers another wild arrow at the trailing guard. Morgan steps around the half man with her bow drawn and lets loose an arrow at the armored man moving up alongside Dagg's fallen form but it also sails wide of its mark. Siirist follows Morgan and steps up behind Phineas and, after muttering a few words quietly to himself, raises his hands and fires off a glowing arrow from his fingertips

"Morgan, if you can't attack, then clear the way," Siirist shouts, as he tries to shoulder past Phineas while readying his last spear.

Sasha continues her attack on the heavily armored man in front of her, realizing quickly how much better his armor is than hers.

Bingus rummages through his pack, producing his tinder box. "Wish I had a fire stick, Penny, but I carry lanterns. Can you make do with this?"
Re: V. Going Underground
Morgan hears Siirist and ducks down so that he may toss is spear.

Intention is to not throw, but use to attack. If Morgan can engage, then Siirist can fight from second rank. If Morgan can't engage, then Siirist will attack over the dwarf's corpse.ToniXX wrote:Morgan hears Siirist and ducks down so that he may toss is spear.

Regarding this, the quarters are too tight on the bridge to allow fighting from the second rank (or the other guards, whom had spears, would have been doing it the whole time... which would have been bad).Alethan wrote:Siirist can fight from second rank.
Re: V. Going Underground
"I just have a lantern too," says Pendleton. "Dagg had a torch, but I can't get to it."
Re: V. Going Underground
OK, then if Morgan isn't going to engage in melee, then Siirist would like to.dmw71 wrote:Regarding this, the quarters are too tight on the bridge to allow fighting from the second rank (or the other guards, whom had spears, would have been doing it the whole time... which would have been bad).Alethan wrote:Siirist can fight from second rank.

Siirist moves past Morgan, as well, and gets into position to fight the plated soldier in the front line. He attacks, if possible.
