[Marduk]

Marduk nods when Galgaliel apologizes, "Its all right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion."

"Apology accepted," he says to Lilly after her comment to Galgaliel. The corners of his mouth show the barest hint of turning up. Rather surprising on a Malakim. "If I couldn't handle the japes of other choirs, there'd be no other choirs left in Heaven."

{Lilly}

Lilly blinks in confusion. "Apology? I didn't..."

She sees the slight upturning of his lips, and her own face breaks out into a broad grin. She elbows Marduk (rather forcefully). "Oh I like you. You and me, we're gonna get along great."

Lilly smiles and shakes her head. "That was quite the tongue lashing there double-G. You'll be Worded before you know it, you keep that up! But you gotta lighten up. Nothing good comes of taking yourself too seriously. In fact, I think it's a seven deadly sin. Pride, yeah. That's it. And this guy here? Agent Dour? Well, if he's as old as you say he is, dude can handle a little ribbing. Probably been called worse on more than one occasion. Besides, I don't tease folks I don't have any respect for. I ignore them. Or punch them if they got a little too much fire and brimstone going on."

Galgaliel flushes when Lilly says he gave her a tongue lashing. His eyes drop to his patent leather shoes. He shudders when she mentions Pride.

Galgaliel raises his eyes to meet Marduk’s when the Malakim speaks to him. “Thank you, Marduk,” he says, softly.

When Lilly and Marduk seem to be done, Galgaliel says, “I’m not serious all the time, Lilly.” He shakes his head as he addresses her comments to him. “I’m fairly sure Marduk would say that I’m not serious enough.” He glances at the ancient Angel for a second and smiles. Then, focusing back on Lilly, Galgaliel meets her eyes straight on. “I like to lighten up as much as the next Celestial. But, there is a time and a place for frivolity, and a time and a place to remain serious.” He pauses a moment.

“Yes, this is my first time on Earth, and yes, I have not fully fledged yet. But we are on a Corporeal Assignment given directly by War himself, to deal with a threat that is killing both Humans and Angels including Malakim, and standing in enemy territory when we don’t even know who or what the enemy is yet… I cannot think of a more important time to be serious,” the Reliever says with somber dignity.

At this time, the HOT News van pulls onto the short road that leads to the docks.
