(004) Raid on Goblintown

Leonis leads you all back up the way you came, making sure the door to the Treasury is locked as he goes. Once back outside the doors leading to the feasting area he stops and says, "You do have an invitation to come in and share in the feast, but if you'd rather not, just remain here and your Boss will join you when he is finished."

Leonis says with a smile as he opens the door, "He never stays long. I don't think the food agrees with his delicate human stomach."

Darain walks in and takes a seat at the near end of the line of the carpet on the tiled floor. Master Ross is several people over to his left seated next to King Bosco. Leonis kicks a goblin next to King Bosco and it moves over letting him sit on the carpet next to Bosco.

There are platters of meats, bread and some vegetables on the tiles in front of everyone. Everyone is helping themselves to the food on the platters eating with their hands and their daggers. The bread is being used as trenchers to hold meat, gravy and the few vegetables being eaten.

The goblin on the carpet next to Darain totally ignores him and continues to eat and interact with the goblin to his left.

Magdal took the coins, though she felt ill at ease to do so. She tucked the bag in her backpack and prepared to wait along side Kazan. She looked at Kazan and remarked, "I can't decide which of us is the guard dog. Maybe we both are." She gently pats his head.

It isn't long after Darian sits down that Master Ross stands and bows to King Bosco, "Thank you for the dinner and I hope to see you again on our way back from the Lake. It's your business, but if it was me, I think I'd take a hard look at the timing of those Orc's attack and your meeting with those Red Cap folks, but like I said that's your affair."

Bosco nods and says quietly, "I found the timing of that attack inconveniently timed as well. Yes, we will be look at it closely."

Bosco adds just before Ross and Darian leave the carpet, "Oh! Yes! I wanted to give you this."

He hands Ross something small , "The Orc was wearing this on a chain around his neck. It didn't fit him and we couldn't make hide nor hair of it, so I thought I'd pass it along to whichever of your warriors killed him. Maybe they would like it as a souvenir."

Ross bows, thanks Bosco and walks to the door, "Your business finished here?" he asks all of you as he steps into the hall where you're waiting, "Let's be careful on the way back, there's no escort going back and this IS a Goblin town after all."

"Let's wait until we're back at the laager before you do that.", Master Ross says to Darian softly.

OOC: Marching order back from the palace to the wagon train's laager, please. What precautions, if any, are you each making before venturing outside the Palace walls and into the city?

Outside the sun has set and the streets are mostly dark,. There is very poor lighting throughout the town as most of the inhabitants have dark vision. The many alleys are dark pools that spill out into the streets, those of you without darkvision can only see rough shapes a few feet around you.

There are fewer Goblins in the streets, but it isn't empty by any means, and without the Goblin guard they are coming up close to you, even brushing against you now and then. The streets are wide enough for you to walk two or three abreast, if you want, but three across with occupy most of the street and you'd be pretty much plowing through oncoming Goblins if you do that.

You remember you have to go right as you leave the Palace gates, then straight for two blocks, then turn left and go two more blocks and then left again, then straight until you reach the city gates and out to the laager beyond.
