Red five standing b- I mean everything is good here, thanks for asking.
I thought Bindoner mentioned he was having family over on top of the renovations. If that's true he's definitely not got the time for this sort of tomfoolery.

The beautiful thing is this could be in-character, our of character, or both, and it still makes sense."Death to all Kitties"

They couldn't wait until after thanksgiving? That's my rule. No tree until December. Each holiday needs its space, no crowding.
Also, I jinxed myself when I said everything was good. Since last Tuesday one dog has come down with lyme and anaplasma, and the other has pancreatitis. Dramatic beasts.
(They're both going to be fine, it's just annoying to manage their meds and specialty diets.)

Re: OOC
Proof-of-life post.
I was burdened with workmen, post-workmen clean-up, work, and non-working internet connections.
Now I have a brief interlude from those distractions, I shall get my head back into gaming.
Turns out, one of the deadlined jobs I was concentrating on, the deadline was end of November 2024. So I'm uncharacteristically ahead of schedule on that one

Hurrah and hip hooray!
I currently suffer from a much milder outbreak of builders than The Bindoner (mine can't get inside).
As to canine diets - or delicacies... My senior hound unerringly tracked down an abandoned builder's sausage roll from around the other side of the house. He is an apex predator of unattended food and (despite having to always roll 1d6 for available teeth due to age) consumed it with both gusto and relish. Nom nom nom! He might yet develop indigestion - which he deserves for not sharing!
All the best and get well soon to dogs!Gorethirster wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 2:49 pm Also, I jinxed myself when I said everything was good. Since last Tuesday one dog has come down with lyme and anaplasma, and the other has pancreatitis. Dramatic beasts.

Totally agree! No Christmas allowed in my house until day after Thanksgiving!Gorethirster wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 2:49 pm They couldn't wait until after thanksgiving? That's my rule. No tree until December. Each holiday needs its space, no crowding.
By the way, my favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Independence. Both celebrate getting away from those stodgy Brits!!
Re: OOC
Ah, yes... I believe that first celebration (unknown in His Britannic Majesty's Kingdom - something to do with the Founding Fathers having a big sale???) falls shortly after the (now admittedly less well observed) "Festival of Good Riddance" / "Are They Still Here's Day" held over here.
As to the other one I sometimes train my telescope westwards and see that, for various reasons, you may wish to selectively re-apply for membership!
You surely expected... rebuttal?
As to "stodgy" I prefer "athletic build (historical)".

Yes, sorry to hear about the hounds, Gorethirster.
Ours just had a big sore on his leg. The wife decided it was Alabama Rot, and we rushed to the Vet. He was very polite and said "there are no cases of that near here, he has worried something until it is inflamed, some ointment and a bandage will sort it out" instead of "you are panicking about nothing and I have better things to do".
I'll celebrate Thanksgiving (being thankful to get rid of the anti-fun prigs who hated Christmas, theatre, dancing, etc), but, I confess, I don't know when Colonial Insurrection Day is.
