Do any of you think we can move these boxes safely? I am sure there are sages who would love to study these and pay us gold for them.

Themon says, It will probably make a lot of noise so we should wait until we clear out all of the monsters in here first.BaltoBruiser wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:15 am Brooku

Speaking of which, we should go back to that room that kills spores and make sure nothing's growing on us before we explore any more.

The boxes are large, 5' to a side, and made of thick glass, as well as whatever material is inside. It would likely be *extremely* difficult to move without damaging whatever is inside.BaltoBruiser wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:15 am Brooku

As the adventurers leave the room there is another crash and clatter from the level below them -- this time it sounds further away, perhaps -- but the party is able to safely return to the decontamination room.

Dirk followed along, missing the enhanced olfactory and vegetative senses of the shroom form.
“We should lay a trap for that monster down there. I sensed it was powerful. Lure it onto some oil covered section of floor, light on fire, be ready with spells and missiles.”

I am not sure I like the sounds from below but I think we should deal with whatever is making those sounds now.

Re: IC I
In ooc knowledge, this is a sublevel of the current main level. So far as you know, you've investigated all of the chambers on this floor and the one below you (with the four chambers), but have not investigated what could be called level 2 of the this sublevel. Don't forget that you have also found some books and texts that haven't been fully investigated yet.
Re: IC I
Themon says, If we're going to do this, Megshag and I have full spell capabilities now. Why don't we try the spells and flaming oil idea now, and we can retreat back here if things go south? I do agree that we should read up first but we don't necessarily need a full 8 hours of rest.

Owl Man and Hairless, can you read these books? Maybe it will give us some clue as to what is making all that noise below.

Re: IC I
Does this mean Dirk has his whirlwind ability back also?
Dirk will try scanning the books - the table of contents, indexes, the summary on the back and the dust jacket inside flaps. Perhaps there are promotional blurbs from well respected sorcerers or celebrity magicians praising the volume, revealing the grimoire’s topic and must-read insights.
Re: IC I
All I was saying is that since we re-entered the dungeon, neither of my guys have used a spell so we don't need to rest.
