Cassius

He hisses a curse as the trap is sprung. "Watch out for that Ugly one, guys!"

The Elven archer draws a longsword in one hand, keeping the bow in his other.
He lashes out at the oncoming orc, intent on ending this quickly.

Muldgarr tosses his bow behind him and unsheathes his long sword without hesitation. He whistles to Nan-tathren and she takes off out of the fray. He’ll attack whichever creature is on him.

Slaughter in the Rain

The heroes of the Border Watch rush in, heedless of the danger, for isn't that what makes ordinary folk heroes? Adelphocleas spurs on ahead and when the Orc on the end breaks and runs in terror, the centaur drives his lance through the creature killing it almost instantly.
Behind him, while the other three Orc archers drop their bows and reach for their swords, Sai flings a handful of sand into the air and speaks a simple incantation...and all three of the Orcs drop their swords and are asleep before they hit the ground.

A few feet behind, the Orcs rush Cassius and Muldgarr, calling for Elf blood while swinging wildly with their swords. Their swords do not even get close to hitting the Elves...unfortunately for them. Muldgarr dodges the wild swing from one of the Orcs and instead delivers a gut punch with his own blade, dropping the Orc to the grass, wallowing in agony.
Cassius ducks under the other Orc's attack and comes up with an overhand chop to the back of the Orc's neck, nearly taking its head off! It falls twitching to the grass, black blood gushing from the deadly wound.

Grinning, Montego steps up to the charging Orog and swings his sword, but the creature parries the attack, ducks and spins while bringing its axe around for a crushing blow to the ranger's ribs!
Orog attack: [1d20]=18 [1d8+1]=8+1=9
"Bet that hurt, eh?" laughs the Orog, eyeing Kranston while waiting for Montego to recover.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Actions!
All but one of the Orcs are either dead or sleeping (which I'm assuming will be dead next round when Sai cuts their throats); only the Orog remains upright and read for action.

Orc & Orog initiative: Orcs: [1d10]=1
Adel: Initiative in 2E is just a d10, no modifiers for DEX; so your initiative would be a "6" ;)

Stats:
Adelphocleas > full hp
Cassius > full hp
Kranston > full hp
Montego > down 9 hp
Muldgarr > full hp
Sai > down 2 hp

Orc Archer 1 - dead
Orc Archer 2 - asleep
Orc Archer 3 - asleep
Orc Archer 4 - asleep
Orc Sword 1 - down 5 hp
Orc Sword 2 - dead
Orog

Adelphocleas

FOR SILVANUS!!!The centaur whipped around and looked towards the Orog, trying to wheel around to attack the huge mutant orc on the flanking side and once more attacking. After he thrust with his lance, he will also try to rear and attack with his hooves. If allowed.

Initiative: [1d10]=5
Lance [1d20+3]=12+3=15 DMG S[1d8+2]=2+2=4 L[3d6+1]=8+1=9
Hooves [1d20+3]=1+3=4 DMG [1d8+1]=5+1=6 I guess is doesn't matter either way! LOL!

Montego winces in pain but is surprised to hear the mockery of his challenger. He looks to Kranston, "you ever hear of such a thing master dwarf? A talking pile of shite?"

After almost fainting when he sees their healer sprint over to his owl, he swings his large blade again, despite the incredibly sore ribs aching under his bloody armor.

Cassius

Cassius is about to turn and impale the nearby orc harassing Muldgarr when he sees everyone abandon the sleeping orcs. "Hey Ugly!" Not you Adel  He calls as Adel races past.

Cassius steps over to the sleeping orcs and slits the throat of one. "You'd better stop me!" He impales his sword in the neck of another. "One last one!"

He tries to divert the attention of the Orog and will end the third Orc if possible.

"PARLAY! PARLAY!" the Orog hollers, eyeballing the charging centaur, while spurting blood from the deep wound Montego gave him. "Tell horse-man stop! STOP!"
Well? 8-)

A few feet away, Cassius is busy entertaining himself while killing the sleeping Orcs, and Sai is cradling Talon, having removed the black-fletched arrow from its wing and side, and healing the deep puncture wound completely. Talon screeches and affectionately pecks and nibbles at Sai's hair and ears.

The rain continues, soaking everyone and turning the road to a muddy mess.

Adelphocleas skids to a stop, still gnashing teeth. He still holds the lance poised meer inches from the Orog's throat, readying to skewer him in an instant. Tempt me. I implore you, Son of Grummish.

Montego also stands ready to behead this monster at any false move.

"Tell us who sent you here and how you knew where we would be!"

He looks to the others in case they want to ask anything else.

Sai

After healing Talon and tossing him into the air to fly back up into the trees. Sai proceeds to walk around to all the Orc corpses and using his morning star make pudding out of their heads. He stops as the others start to question the Orog. And points his Morning Star at the Orog.

Yells: I suggest you tell them what they want to know, or when i am done with the rest of these heads your ass will be next.

Cassius

Cassius stands back and lets the others try to negotiate with the Orog. He also stands back for other reasons while Sai pulps some orcs.

After a minute or so, he gently places a hand on Sai's shoulder. "I think we got them. Now you're just making a mess." He jests with Sai but doesn't restrain him.

"Hokay! Hokay! Darg quick learn! He get it! You kill Darg! You bash Darg! You make Darg bloody and messy like melon!"
The Orog holds up one hand, the other cupping the blood flowing from the wound.

Darg eyeballs Adelphocleas and particularly the lance pointed at his chest, while glancing at Montego as the ranger speaks, then at Sai who follows up with his bloody morning star. Darg is about to answer when Mulgarr makes another threatening statement. Darg attempts a look backward at Muldgarr but gasps in pain as the movement wrenches his wound.

The Orog nods at Montego and says, "How we find you? Little bird told Darg!" He grins and points at Talon up in the tree. "Sent by Elf." He spits the word as if it leaves a bad taste in his mouth. "Dark Elf. Bad Elf. Do bad things in war. Do bad things now."

And then...the Orog laughs. He starts with a few chuckles and then says, "Baad things! Real baaad things! Har! Har! Har!"

Cassius

Cassius turns his full attention to the Orog when he speaks. "Wait. Did he say Dark Elf? That can't be good." He tries to stay the hand of those who want to kill the Orog.

"He knows something. And he's right that he's delaying us from getting back. Does anyone have a magical means to get him to cooperate?"
