He kicks his feet, thrashing about, and wipes the wetness off his face. "What!? No! The Elf just can't shoot straight! OW! Quit it!"
"Another gold for your wound!"

Magdal stops in her pursuit of Gyb, at the sight of Arpad. When she hears her question, she looks back at the others and then again to her, "What friends do you mean?"
Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Gyb
Gyb runs forward to the edge of melee range and hurls a javelin at the priest. "No! Away! Away!"
Javelin (THACO 20) [1d20]=16 DMG [1d6+1]=1+1=2
The +1 comes from the extra 1/2 hp weapon damage monks gain every level

"No, no. It was my fault. I was aiming at one of the skeletons and missed. I'm sorry. We're not trying to harm you. We're your friends and are trying to end this undead abomination and remove it from your home."
He casts Charm Person on the Hobgoblin.

Renna will move back to the location of her rope and assuming it is not in use she will retrieve it.

Crobeus - Human Paladin
Seeing the woman at the junction, the Paladin pulls up short. "Wait- who are you and what are you doing in here?" he inquires. "Let me guess, you're nobility and want to be rescued?"

Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Sorry for the long delay here gang!!!
One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Three Steps Back
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Outside
As Bugs is getting his brains squished in, Renna walks back over to start coiling her rope up.
Still on the ledge above them, Ithrandir puts his bow down and starts casting a spell at the Bugbear attacking Bugs, even though these creatures are a bit too large to be affected by such magic. Seeing him trying it anyway infuriates the Bugbears even worse. (these are not Hobgoblins, they are Bugbears, which are larger than human size, and therefore not affected)
Bugs pleads for his life, offering what he believes is the right price to be set free. This also helps infuriate the monster, who decides to spike the little Gnome onto the ground, hoping it might shut him up. 5 dam As the stunned Gnome attempts to get back up for more witty banter, the second Bugbear tries to see how far he can kick him, sending him over the next ledge where he plummets 25 feet to the ledge below.12 dam
With nobody attacking it anymore, the only Skeleton remaining starts to pull the unconscious Stobart towards the distant cave opening once again. The Bugbears just shrug, one of them looks like it might grab Meinhardt next.
Actions?
square = unconscious
Inside
Arpad sighs and rolls her eyes at Crobeus. "Do I look like royalty to you?" She smiles at Magdal and motions for her to follow in the same direction Keya ran off, back to the area they just departed. When they get there they see.......
Daliedhur is pretty sure he is about to regret his curiosity but he looks the door over anyway, finding nothing suspicious about it. When he cracks it open enough for light to shine in, he is horrified to find 4 filthy and emaciated humans huddled together in a tiny unfurnished nook in the wall. They are all tied together with ropes, and each wears an iron manacle on their ankle that's chained to the back wall, preventing them from escape. These poor folks seem to have been stuck in here for a long time, as they barely react, even after being discovered by someone other than the evil necromancer who's keeping them here. The tiny room they are crammed into reeks of body odor and human defecation. The obvious sounds of scratching is still coming from beyond the laboratory door.
Gyb sees the Priest doing something to Loyn, but he isn't sure what. He chucks his javelin at the man, hitting him but not hard enough to bring him down. The red robed priest looks up and immediately starts casting a spell at the Monk.

Keya looks on in horror.
"Do you have a key, ah, Arpad??"
Keya looks to see of the door is moving.
He moves to see if there is some way to unbuckle the chain, look at the supporting rock and access if if he uses the hand axe against it to cut around it.
He sees the attempt at pulling at the chains and assists; BB/LG [1d100]=46

Magdal looks to Arpad as Keya questions her thinking it highly unlikely she does. "Do you know what is behind the door?," she asks.
Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Gyb
Gyb decides to eschew anything complicated like stabbing the red priest. He reasons that a punch in the face will be faster than a complicated spell. With a war-cry of "HELLLLLLLP!!!!" he drives his fist straight into the priest's nose.
Open hand attack. (THACO 20) [1d20]=18 Dmg [1d4]=3
I don't suppose that's 5 more than his AC it it?

Daliedhur
"The key is most likely in possession of the bastard who ran down the hall in smoke form - probably back to his room" - Daliedhur ponders out loud - "We need to move fast, before he pulls himself together and comes back" - he looks around at the others - "Any of you good with locks?"
If no one has a key (most likely), and since Bugs is outside 'playing' soccer
I don't think we have a Thief, so... Daliedhur will try to rip the chains free?
"Let me try to help..." - he speaks quietly to the captives, firmly wrapping the chains around his hands. He knows he is not able to break the chains, but sometimes the wall mount rings are older and less well maintained, so he plants his two feet on the wall and pulls hard, trying to rip them out.
Bend Bars/Lift Gates (25%) [1d100]=36

Bugs
He yelps as he flies through the air and plummets to the ground. After he dusts himself off, he looks about to figure out where he is. "Nice kick." He shrugs at the angry outburst. "I thought a gold was resonable for a little arrow wound."
Bugs, in his own style of wisdom, chooses to climb back up the ledge.

Four Steps Back
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear

Renna unsuccessfully tries to turn the lone Skeleton again as it continues to pull the unconscious Stobart towards the next cave. Ithrandir shoots arrows into the closest Bugbear, hitting it twice but doing little to quell its fury. In fact, the minor wounds actually seem to infuriate the monster more, who suddenly decides to leave the Skeleton be and instead climb up to kill the person shooting at it. (it takes this round to climb up instead of attacking)
After getting punched and kicked in the head repeatedly, Bugs obviously starts climbing back up towards the skirmish, watching the huge foot of the Bugbear who just kicked him getting bigger and bigger as he closes in on the edge of the ledge above him. The huge Bugbear, who already grabbed the unconscious Meinhardt before moving over to the ledge himself, just stands there with a dumb smile on its hairy face, waiting to drop punt the Gnome a second time once he climbs a little higher.
Actions?
square = unconscious
Inside
One by one, more of his comrades attempt to aid Daliedhur with pulling the rusting chain from the wall. And one by one, they all fail. Keya seems distracted by the scratching noises from beyond the next door, but doesn't see any major movement in the portal at all.
Arpad is confused by the questions she gets, wondering if some of these folks have been hit in the head too many times. Luckily, even though she has no key, she does bring a Crobeus along with her, who grabs the rusting chain and completely rips the bracket it's attached to from the wall, freeing all 4 of the prisoners at once, who quickly begin to untie each other. Arpad whispers to them quietly. "I told you I would get you out of here, so let's go!" She points towards the exit and helps pull the last of the ropes away from their feet and legs.
All alone against a very powerful opponent, Gyb quickly strikes the red robed Priest in his face, disrupting his spell and clearly agitating the human in the process. The man pulls out his mace and strikes at the speedy Monk, only missing him by a hair. "You will make another fine addition to our undead army, you fool!" The man steps away from the unconscious Loyn on the floor and readies his next strike against Gyb.
