I figured the guards are already concerned about the dwarf turning rhino or pigeon again and previously potshotted at the owl suspecting it to be 'a dwarf assassin in disguise'. Besides I have to think quickly and on my feet and with big feet and a preponderance to putting my foot in it, that comment is probably par for the course.

I mean don't these villagers fear the guild? They must know one is active and any hesitation I can cause in them might give me a window of opportunity to escape.

Well, for all good intentions and poor decision making, I think this is the end of the road for the dwarf.

Had fun with him, going Rhino-mode from the potion might just be his only and lasting legacy.

I'm open to taking ideas from unconscious players. As I mentioned to OM, I need another plan now that I've ruined a perfectly good TPK.

It's possible that Draxon and Luna will be allowed to remain undetained for a bit. Luna isn't keen on being a fugitive after seeing how the guards deal with that. We need to have Les and Z back up, which means the next day at the least.

Maybe the human guards aren't part of the whole assassin plot, in which case they could be allies.

I think the plan should be heal up, find the "back-door" to the castle (which is how I assume the orcs got in the castle) and take out the mayor

The question frankly is how to not get arrested at this point. Especially with Redgrave's declaration that Vorpal work's for the assassins.

Healing up is a nice idea but someone needs to recover healing spells first and that takes time. We may have to write off Z and L, working under the assumption they will be taken to the castle and held as prisoners. Not sure how you can get away with the bodies.

Remember the mission. They need to return with the Baron's killer, dead or alive. The main problem is identifying who that is, exactly. The lute string and vest button planted at the murder scene were taken by individuals who had access to the castle. There must be a common recipient ... the assassin, or one that can lead them to the assassin.
