OOC Talk
Re: OOC Talk
Hey
Good idea for the thread.
In the end I took the plunge and bought the sidekick pdf to help things out. (I have poor impulse control)
I had some free time today and made my first attempt at a vehicle specialist:
I'm sure there are better ways of doing things, in particular I wasn't sure the best way to handle his vehicle repair skill.
Allways open to suggestions and changes if I'm stepping on toes.

Re: OOC Talk
Looks good to me. No idea yet what I am going with.
Re: OOC Talk
Sometimes that's the most difficult thing, reading through and getting that inspiration.
I'm already thinking of tweaks, drop the enhanced reflexes and melee skills to free up points to increase dex naturally, and boost skill points in his focus areas (vehicles and ranged gun attacks).

Re: OOC Talk
I was going to upload a map of the planet with changes to countries, but it is too large for the site.
Re: OOC Talk
that would be cool. I am trying to come up with some ideas, later when I get a few minutes I will see if i can find a picture for inspiration. Any more details/info/maps/pics on the setting would be helpful.

Re: OOC Talk
The group will be starting out in the North Atlantic Commonwealth (Britain, Ireland) To begin with. As indicated before, you will be freelance agents and it will depend on the group if anyone has ties, connections with any other player character. The actual starting date will be March 25th, 2050.
Re: OOC Talk
Cool, I was thinking of being a Brit anyway.

Re: OOC Talk
If anyone wants it, I can email them the map so they can at least have it for reference.
Re: OOC Talk
Could you chop up the map into quarters and post them separately?

Re: OOC Talk
So far My character is a high stealth, high combat with practically any weapon he can pick up, so I guess im a ninja.
Re: OOC Talk
Would something along the lines of genetically engineered be in play? Looking at some stuff for ideas.
Re: OOC Talk
What about psychics? Could go the route of some sort of mystic/priest.

Re: OOC Talk
For a genetically engineer individual I would be thinking this. This is the US Air Force Air Commando Pararescuemen. https://sofrep.com/specialoperations/afsoc/
Pararescuemen
Pararescuemenare known as PJs, for Pararescue Jumpers or simply ParaJumper. They hold a very unique position as USSOCOM (indeed all of DOD’s) only specific CSAR (Combat Search and Rescue) career field, trained and equipped to conduct both conventional and unconventional recovery missions, CASEVAC and MEDEVAC. They are not simply medics, and they are anything but unarmed. Their motto is That Others May Live, and their trauma medicine capabilities combined with SOF battlefield skills make them special even within the special operations community. Their missions take them on a wide array of missions, from combat rescues of downed pilots to patrolling into remote areas with Green Berets and CAG, going in to assist SOF units in trouble, to supporting NASA missions. A little known fact about PJs are their officers – they were for years an all-enlisted force, until recently with the establishment of the Combat Rescue Officer. Over half of all Air Force Cross recipients are Pararescuemen. They wear maroon berets.

Re: OOC Talk
Cool concept.
I like the ninja too
Made a few more tweaks, now I'm starting to understand break points in attributes, etc.
Now I need to think about getting those 125 points of disadvantages.
I was thinking that he's ex-military, some kind of accident (explosion) put him in hospital (so he was medically discharged) , he was blinded so he had cybernetic eyes implanted plus required work to fix his nervous system so he had his reflexes enhanced. Hopefully I can build some kind of enemy in to the accident.

Re: OOC Talk
Looks good. I have started mine on paper but need to figure out disadvantages before going any further I think. A couple of links I found on Disadvantages.
