Re: OOC and MIA
Is there a campaign number for the die roller/character sheet?
Re: OOC and MIA
I just wanted to say hello, I'm really looking forward to the game.
While familiar with the genre, I'm pretty much a newbie to Traveller, so feel free to make suggestions. I'm open to learning as well as having fun.

Re: OOC and MIA
I was going to ask if you would prefer private fora(?) for your sheets.
I'll find the ID number but, perhaps quite foolishly, I'm convinced none of us will cheat!

Re: OOC and MIA
I don't mind if my character sheet is private or public, so I'll go with whatever people want.

Re: OOC and MIA
Traveller characters don't really fit on Unseen templates.
I always thought everyone knowing each others character sheets from the start was odd. It might be fun for us to find out about each others abilities in play. The GM has the character sheets, and he's the one who needs to know.
I'll use another character for forum rolls for now, so if I roll a string of 12's there's a way to prove it

Re: OOC and MIA
I set up a character in the dice roller, but don't use the character sheet bit.
Means I can set up dice roll macros, and keep all the rolls together.

Ah, I hadn't realised you could set a roller for a character without a campaign number. Done.
EDIT: And it outputs "err"..
Using macro from last Traveller character...

Re: OOC and MIA
odd. it works for me.
Is this when you try to roll the dice, or creating the character?

Re: OOC and MIA
I just created a new character, left the ID blank, created a macro ( twice ). The macro output "err" ( both of them ). I tried rolling "on the fly" for the new character and the old ones and got the "err" output, so I just used a macro from an existing ( but defunct ) campaign.
EDIT; The stat-gen routine for the new character outputs fine.
It does seem that a campaign ID is needed to activate the roller.

Re: OOC and MIA
Campaign ID is 793
I can give everyone their own private thread to keep character sheets, backstory, equiment list, etc online.
Would this help?

Re: OOC and MIA
It's probably worth making the Collace Spaceport thread a sticky, so it stays at the top.

So, technically it's Jess searching for kit, but If anyone else has relevant skills, chip in. It's a tough roll, we need all the bonuses we can get.
Speaking of which, will Stat modify?

I don't think Frank has much to help, he's got streetwise 0, but I'm not sure if that's relevant.

We're going click-and-collect then.
Four sets of covert Cloth . 2k. Can't afford reflec, we'll just have to hope there're no lasers.
Who wants what weapons?
There isn't an unlimited budget, but I can cover two or three items.

Re: OOC and MIA
You have no Intel to suggest the local hoods use lasers or anything they can't hold sideways / fire on full auto.
It is likely they have poor weapons handling skills and poor fire discipline but are nevertheless entirely competent at being bandits.

Re: OOC and MIA
Well, if they're going full auto we need one SMG for suppressing fire too
Anyone rated on that?
