Re: Chapter 2: A Fool's Hope
Indeed brother, the things that spring from the darkness of the necromancer make the orcs seem like bunny rabbits.

Folco gulps audibly.
"I might have a problem with orcs." He shivers at the thought of the huge beasts as he draws his new blade from its sheath.
"Tales say that our magic steel will glow if orcs are nearby." He looks up at the elves. "Is that true?"
He continues looking at his sword, early and often, as they begin to make their way towards the mountain entrance.

Tinuwen draws her bow. She makes ready to continue their journey.
How do we know you're not a donkey-brained man?

"Yer taking the word of bats?" Gilly asks as she tightens her boots and checks her gear. "Dead or alive, did they say? Reckon we'll find out."
She hefts her pick, makes sure her fancy new sword is loose in its scabbard, and then...looks around before sighing deeply. "Did anyone happen to pick up me hand axe once I was poisoned? I can't seem ta find it."

Winter is coming...

Glasik Ironfoot
At least if it's orcs, we know what we're in for. It's the things I'm not familiar with that worry me. Uncomfortable travelling through such leafy terrain, he trusts those who are more used to forests will apprise him of any danger lurking as they make their way. His axe is not to hand, but where he can have it ready at a moment's notice if needed. Can't say I noticed the axe, Sis, as I was having the same problem you were.

Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Therone
Therone's smile falters as "older and fouler things than Orcs" are mentioned. But she straightens her shoulders and shrugs it off.
