“Nice Job McCloud!"

"I don’t hear anything behind the door. But since Bindle went this way I suggest we follow. Unless there are any objections, I can go first”
says the Bard as he heads through the archway using the butt of his spear to test the path directly in front of him.

With a flick of his hand, a wand appears in Skiiratch's hand as he follows Quinn into the hallway (that is, assuming everyone else agrees to go down the hallway...).

Skarlos moves up to the arch.

Have we got an MO yet? I couldn't see one anywhere obvious...

Urdak sees everyone has chosen a different hallway, so he will jump in line.

McCloud sees no sign of Bindle, dust, footprints, or traps. There seems to be nothing but a long hall. Quinn joins you and moves to take the lead probing ahead with a spear. Skiiratch is close behind with wand in hand as the 3 of you advance others gather near the arch.

Quinn, McCloud, and Skiiratch, do you stay on the red tile path or step off it?

"Orange, Blue, Yellow.. clever fellow, then stay on the red...or you'll be dead, " McCloud repeats to Skiiratch, puss and Quinn as they press on, whispering to the others just as the intrepid duo reach out of earshot, " hope it works!, just couldn't think of anything that rhymed with 'stay off the path'!"

oh the guiding wisdom of McCloud!

then McCloud will hoist his backpack and fall into the rear taking one last glance down the hallway to the fading light and salute again the impaled elf before stepping into the tunnel , "stick around Erod', we may be back sooner than we think!".

After the trio move about 10 feet down the path they suddenly vanish from view!

McCloud, Skiiratch, and Quinn. You experience a stomach churning sensation as the hallway disappears and you find yourself in a 10x20 foot room. The first thing you notice is the hideous 8 foot tall bat winged creature looming over you with a fanged snarl on its face and clawed hands poised to strike!

"Whoa we should have seen that coming. So do we follow, hoping to end up where they have gone, assuming they are not turned to dust. Or do we try the door?"

Skarlos looks around to see who is left.

"Aaargh Mc'aarrrgh", issuing some suloise war cry or the sound of a panic, McCloud with claymore in hand will swing at said creature to ward off any impending rending!

([1d20+2] = 5+2 = 7 to hit in melee....looks like I can't hit a barn door with that!)

Razluki, careful to avoid the pits, moves to join Skarlos. "I say we join our fellows and, for good or ill, share their fate."

Quinn, Skiratch, and McCloud:
When the highlander's claymore connects with the creature it rings out and you quickly realize that he has struck something made of stone. It appears the attacking creature is nothing more than a statue. It looks like a huge winged gargoyle with 4 arms. One of which has broken off and lies at the statue's feet. Each of the hands has a round depression carved into the palm.

Over the statues left shoulders you can see a roughly dug tunnel exiting the room.

"ah, one more step and I'll chop something else off....and it won't be another arm!", McCloud says, waving his sword in front of the statue.

"where are we...?"

McCloud will first check for any sight or sound of Bindle, squeezing by the statue and to the corner of the exit tunnel.

Skiiratch examines the statue closely, paying special attention to the arms (including the one broken off). What sizes do the depressions appear to be? That of a coin? Or.. bigger or smaller?

He also examines the statue to see if there is anything on it not made of stone.

Quinn sheathes his sword while Skiiratch examines the statue. “Do you think it serves some purpose, aside from mere decoration?” he asks.
