Using the remaining magic from his potion, he transforms himself back into a sparrow and flies out of the broken window, heading towards the top of the bell tower.
Hey OM, with transformation taking 5 segments, that's a lot of activity for one round. I'll cram in as much as I can fit.
Heh heh! Gotcha.
I'm just hoping it won't take me a year and a day to catch up!
Also, I really don't trust that ToniXX guy... so I'm ready.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time. mjulius: That's how I know I'm home. Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager! Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life. Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen. Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death. Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village! Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Can I cast a spell at the moment? Does she have a CLW available?
Yes.
In the PC Status section, at the bottom of every major DM update, remaining spell slots are listed.
In the House Rules thread, you'll see I don't require casters to choose spells in advance.
And, when a caster falls below zero hit points, her remaining spell slots aren't erased.
Avril had one 1st lvl spell left, so she can cast CLW. Sorry about the roll.
So if Urdur's base movement is 90, which is halved on the stairs, and it's 100 feet to the top, does that mean it takes 2 rounds at 45 each to get close enough to the acolytes for spell ramge?

That's correct. It's also true for Mouser, if he wants to engage in melee.
But please keep in mind, each stair "level" is ten feet apart vertically. So Urdur (US) is ~10 feet (1") away from two acolytes (A14 and A15) vertically.
Just as Hoom, at the bottom of the stairwell (HF), is ~30 feet (3") away from the hounds at the top of the stairwell (H1 and H2) vertically.
I hope that makes sense.

That's what I thought. So that leaves us with a few options. Here are my ideas:
-Urdur can ascend the stairs and attempt to Hypnotise the six acolytes into sleeping or something. Even if it doesn't hit everybody, the spell could temporarily take out a few of them. Problem is, if even one acolyte makes his save, he can easily wake the others, and Urdur is not so good at melee.
-Urdur and Mouser can attempt missile fire from their current position. For now, the acolytes seem unaware of their presence. Urdur has three daggers and a decent Dex bonus, so between him and Mouser they ought to hit an acolyte or two.
-Although the cultists took most of his stash, Urdur still has two flasks of oil. He could empty one on the stairs, then try to draw the attention of the cultists (perhaps via missile fire?). If they slip on the oil, the acolytes may fall the rest of the way and/or take some additional damage. If they don't, we can attempt to burn them.
I'm leaning towards combining the second and third items, i.e., laying down some oil and then trying missile fire. What do you guys think?
