Standing on the river's edge, you just just reach the other edges of the turmoil of fish with the end of the staff. Do you want to wade into the water?MonkeyWrench wrote:Marcus, "Ha, I'll try to be careful." Marcus will use the staff to ward off the fish and attempt to bring whatever they are eating to the surface. If he cannot then he will do the stupid thing and, using the staff again to ward off the fish, stick his own arm into the water to grab whatever is there.

Bürd takes a few minutes to concentrate while Marcus is thrashing at the water with the staff. Eventually his magical senses open up. There is magic here, concentrated right about where the fish are congregating. The magic tastes rotten, like oak leaves and bile.mb. wrote:Hearing what Abel has to say, Bürd stands behind Marcus leaning on his greataxe and concentrates on the water and the animals…

Abel "Bürd do you sense anything magical about it?"

Marcus frowns as he is too far away to get at anything with the staff, sighing, he hands the staff back to Abel. "Looks like we are doing this the hard way friends..." He then jumps into the water, wading towards the area, using his spear to force away any frenzied fish.

The fish slide and slosh around you as you make your way toward the center. The birds are a bigger nuisance, as they continue their crazed dining.
The river becomes deep enough that you have to tread water or swim. You connect with something with your foot. It seems to be at the center of the fish. It is slightly yielding, and heavy enough that it does not move when your foot kicks it.

Marcus hovers over the item for a moment before calling out to the others, "This thing seems heavy, probably going to need both hands for this." Without further warning Marcus tosses his spear towards the others and dips under the surface of the water, using both hands to grasp the item and pull it up.

Feeling your way through a living wall of fish, you get your hands on the object. You can't see anything other than the silver darting of fish, but you are almost certain it is a human body. It seems tightly wedged among the rocks at the river bed.
You surface, get another breath of air, and swim down and dislodge as many rocks as you can. Some do not dislodge. The appear to be tied to the body.
Let's have a strength check to see if you can budge this thing.

Bürd sighs and says, "I've got a bad feeling about this…" as he wades out towards Marcus, axe raised...

You don't wade in very far before you are in deep enough that you will have to use your arms to tread water or swim, which you cannot do with your axe at the ready.mb. wrote:Bürd sighs and says, "I've got a bad feeling about this…" as he wades out towards Marcus, axe raised...

Simon whispers to Jonas. "What do you think? Should we follow the men to see where they take the pig?
Sorry about the delayed post. I am equally up for surprising them and rescuing the pig or sneaking around and defending the pig if we get caught.

Abel takes a look at the bridge and walks right to the bridge to examine it closer he prods one of the planks to see how stable it appears.

Smokey just got internet back. So, he begins to fashion rope from vines. He will braid them like his ropes of hair.mb. wrote:Okay, Bürd stops at about waist deep and waits…Pulpatoon wrote:You don't wade in very far before you are in deep enough that you will have to use your arms to tread water or swim, which you cannot do with your axe at the ready.
You can use me sword to cut the ropes under water, man Smokey offers.
