Jedak taps at the floor, gingerly at first, then with more force.

Jedak taps his pole against the floor ahead of the party, probing the stones, anxiously listening for a click. Sigur closes the door behind Murq, lit torch in one hand, dagger in the other, while Dugar follows the party, arrow nocked.

Jedak speaks up; "Hey, I have a 10' pole!" He taps Cisneros on the shoulder. "Not that I'm eager to be in the front rank, but the longer the stick, the better." He laughs nervously, his heart not really it in.

Sigur and Dugar back away slowly, their eyes fixed on the closed off doorway, until they get to the intersection. There they pause, hearts thudding in their chests, ready to bolt back to the others if the wall moves back.

Jedak looks down at the corpses. "Hmm, maybe. Do we have any oil?"

[Did Loden die also? Took a 4hp hit...] [Yup.] Jedak pales at the thought of actually touching Loden's ruined remains, his person, but he helps himself to his torches. Jedak mutters to no one in particular about how useful they've proven to be, and not wanting to wind up on like Loden. Sigur follow...

I've cooked up a paladin. I played tons of 1e back in the day, but this is my first 1e character in a while. As such, if anyone has any suggestions, or if I've missed anything, I'd welcome any feedback.

Loden takes his shovel and sees if he can't dig a bit into the wet earth made visible by the west wall collapse, while Jedak sees if he can't move some of the debris to see what's under it. Meanwhile, Sigur and Dugar join the others at the archway; "See anything?"

Jedak takes his and Loden's weapons -- pitchfork and shovel -- pulls up the rope, ties it around the head of each weapon and lowers the rope down. Then he climbs down after them, followed by Loden. Sigur sheathes his dagger and follows after them, drawing his dagger again when he reaches the bottom....

Jedak and Loden heft their weapons and follow close behind Milner ... well, as close as possible without tripping crowding the others too much.
