Seeing Awwrak's actions, Lothien knows that she is trying to perceive signs of invisible creatures. So as not to block out her listening, he also takes a moment to silently scan the room for signs and listen.

The hole is quite small, possible to crawl into on all fours at best.
It seems to stretch away into inky blackness.

Lothien crouches beside the hole and leans his head to look into it, hoping not to get hit by any flying, slashing, or lunging thing.
Darkvision: Thanks to your elf blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim Conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in Darkness, only Shades of Gray.

The passage stretches away for around twenty-ish feet and turns a corner.
It seems to get a little narrower as it gets to the bend in the passage.
Among the belongings strewn around the place you see several coins and a dagger.

Lothien reports what he sees about the passageway to the group. "I wouldn't like to get into a fight in there, crawling on my hands and knees. I could send a magic hand down the passageway to see if anything happens. I suppose it could grope about around the bend, but it couldn't see anything for us.

'I'll send an arcane hand down the passageway and see if anything happens.' Lothien crouches beside the hole in the wall a chants a phrase. A disembodied hand appears in floor of the passageway, before the bend. It goes around the bend, grasping around the floor for any objects.

Might need a GM call here. I don't know if a Mage Hand can be controlled while it's out of sight, like around the bend. Also don't if the controller can "feel" with it. In other words, he would know if encountered an object that can't be seen.

A spectral, floating hand appears at a point you choose within range. The hand lasts for the duration or until you dismiss it as an action. The hand vanishes if it is ever more than 30 feet away from you or if you cast this spell again.

The disembodied hand disappears around the bend in the tunnel and you hear a skittering and a pulling sensation as if the hand has grasped something.

Lothien does a grasping and pulling gesture and the hand brings the object around the bend and into view.
