Here is everyone's initiative:

Grognardsw = Gilbert O'Sullivan

1) Dagger= Closing: -1 / In Range: +3
2) Spear= Closing: +4 / In Range: +1
3) Bastard Sword= Closing: +1 / In Range: +1
4) Hand Axe= Closing: -1 / In Range: +2

Tibbius = Unrill

1) Dagger= Closing: -1 / In Range: +3
2) Broad Sword= Closing: +1 / In Range: +1

Rex = Slatra the Fiery

1) Footman's Mace= Closing: -1 / In Range: 0
2) Quarter Staff= Closing: +2 / In Range: +1

wolfpack = Rolograg

1) Bastard Sword= Closing: 0 / In Range: 0
2) Spear= Closing: +3 / In Range: 0
3) Club= Closing: -1 / In Range: +1

ken-do-nim = Parn Kellcorn

1) Club= Closing: -1 / In Range: 0

Storm11 = Hex Burrowbook

1) Shortsword= Closing: -1 / In Range: +2
2) Dagger= Closing: -1 / In Range: +3

Raven4544 = Gorash

1) Long Sword= Closing: 0 / In Range: +1
2) Dagger= Closing: -2 / In Range: +3

Please note that Closing is simply moving closer to your opponent and In Range is close enough for melee. These modifiers are added/subtracted from your 1d6 initiative roll. If you roll high enough you can get a second strike. Missile weapons are a 1d6 doubled.

Now that all players have submitted their character sheets, we are close to getting started. There are a couple things we need to establish like Marching Order and Night Watch. Let me know what you come up with.

Watch order is more difficult because we have so many spell casters.

We could do two hour shifts with two each maybe.

Starting with Parn and Gorash from day 10-12
Slatra and Hex from 12-2am
Gilbert and Unril from 2-4am
Rolo and Parn or Gorash 4-6am
Memorisation And breakfast from 6-8am and then ready to leave.

Or single

10-11am Parn
11-12am Gorash
12-1am Hex
1-2am Unril
2-3am Gilbert
3-4am Rolo
4-5am Slatra

5 am up and memorise spells whilst Gilbert and Unril guard and then breakfast and off.

Figuring Parn will need the most time to sleep and memorise given all the spells he is likely to have and how quickly druids get their magic, so he will need the longest time to sleep sooner rather than later and take the most time to memorise.

Marching order looks fine ... watch order I prefer to watch in pairs, bc this one time on a single watch I heard "it was a long day ... make a CON check ... oops ... you awaken to the sound of footsteps and guttural voices."
Neil Gaiman: "I started imagining a world in which we replaced the phrase 'politically correct' wherever we could with 'treating other people with respect', and it made me smile."..."I know what you’re thinking now. You’re thinking 'Oh my god, that’s treating other people with respect gone mad!'"

What about second breakfast? Oh yeah I'm a gnome not a hobbit.

All of the above seems fine to me.

I like Wolfpack's watch order.

The bonuses certainly do a better job reflecting the effectiveness of the spear and staff in combat, I just wish the wording of the article was better.

Oh yeah, good point! Would Roff the war dog roll her initiative separately, or does she get an attack based on Unril's initiative?

In general, is there an initiative option to "voluntarily go last"?

Not sure how Odin One Eye will rule, but one approach would be that you can entirely evade attacks by anyone whose initiative you beat. You give that up if you attack someone who hasn't already attacked; then they can get you back.
