Awesome battle! Great job by everyone. Rolls are what they are, but everyone did a great job of putting themselves in the right place at the right time.

Looty-Loot!!
My initial thoughts (not saying it's what we need to do, it just makes sense to me)

Ring - ? (probably the caster who doesn't get the Wand or the Scroll)
Scroll - one of the casters (Storm, Balasar, Ruthgar)
Spear - Phil - everyone has at least 1 magic weapon now, and Phil has spear proficiency, which I don't think anyone else has (and, face it, I want a spear and magic helmet!!)
Gauntlets - Saxony - With any luck, they are of either strength or dexterity
Chain Mail - Balasar - All the other Armored types have banded.
Potion - ?
Wand - One of the M/U casters (Storm or Balasar)

and
Brooch & Ring from earlier

I am happy to take the chain mail. Storm might want the wand since the staff probably only has a set amount of charges then it would merely be a regular staff. Scrolls I figure those of us able to use them can share them maybe we split them so not one person has them all. The ring if we figure out what it does might be of interest to Balasar.

Storms staff has only two charges left so the wand might be good.

I figured with the arcane scrolls we are gonna a try and learn the spells once we are back in a safe place, and put them in our books so we can memorise them and use them over and over. And those in the book too.

Is that not the plan Greywolf?

What size armour is the Chainmail? Human sized?

We could experiment a little with the ring, pop it on and put a hand through flames for example, or will oneself unseen, or try to walk on a small body of water, have a spell cast at the wearer of the ring etc.

Is someone gonna taste the potion in the chest?

I know that copying them into our books is the general idea but they still have some use since we can only cast a single spell per day. Using a scroll might help after we copy the spells.

You appear to be the expert on that have at it ;)

Storm can cast two per day.

I think when we find out what spells are in the mages book some of those might be duplicated in the scrolls we found. You never know.

Clerical scrolls can all just be used. Man Gary really likes to screw over the magic-user.

Doh! We should have checked the brooch & ring from the earlier treasure too. Oh well, we can do that with the next loot pile.

If nobody objects, Phil is going the be ready to down the potion of heroism if we discover enemies once we open the final door.
Phil, Sax, and Balasar are the ones who could use it, and Phil is at the lowest HP.

If we aren't in a major battle, it would stay in the loot pile.

Thoughts?

ok so yes if the room has baddies go for it on the potion. If not I wouldn't worry about it.

Looks at the map. Very nice. Strange design. How did we get in? Shall we search for secret doors along these corridors which may open to rooms in these blank spaces?

The demon spoke thus:

"You are to late mortals, we have located the other Shaytan stone and Sha'zul has already left to collect it. Now we will send your souls to Pazuzu."

Was there any notes or information found which showed where that location was or if it was unknown, how they located it? If it was a ritual. Could it be repeated?

what you know

the last room your were in had a dais and pedestal just like the room you found the other stone in.
you came here expecting a second stone to be here, all indications were it was here when you left the city.
the shaytan stone you for sure know the location of is back in the city at the temple.

I am just trying to piece together what we know but am a little confused. I was comparing the demon statement to the notes in Wevland Nightklans book.

One stone was in the temple, (which we took to the city), another 'bleeds corruption under the hill'.

We are under the hill now. The second stone should be here. The servant Sha'zul has gone to collect the first stone. Unless he also took the second stone with him, to combine them together straight away. But the word 'collect' indicates 'bring back'.

I think we are missing something in this temple.

Any thoughts guys?

the demon said he went to collect the other stone, he never said what was going to be done with it or where it was being taken
