No worries. Thanks!

Btw, am I right that everyone we can see at the moment is KO’d?

Correct. Everyone is sight is currently KO'd. Ulfang and Gatu near Vonn are stirring.

I think Ah'Tak got lifted along with the fog?

He should still be by the front door, near the bouncer. What is the status of Ewin and whomever is beneath him?

Ah'Tak is positioned near the barkeep, under the overhang. I made him less opaque to try to indicate that. I thought that was your intended goal. If not, we can just assume he is near the door.

Ewin and Tane are both Knocked Out.
The dwarves,Urin and Telchar, are up and coming for Evan and Rogg.
The gnomes above are up and taunting.
Holeon and Geoffry are to the east, near Lug.

I wasn't thinking he'd move that far when I mentioned he was looking for an overhang, but that works just fine. Thanks for the clarification.

Just in case the next round gets started soon: I'm heading out of town this weekend, so I may not get a chance to post until Monday or so.

(I know, I know — travelling, now? But I'm driving, and we're going to a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. We'll be more socially distant than we are here in our townhouse.)

Hoping you have a good time, Zhym.

I miss going to the office ... working from home three days a week was nice, but now I've lost count of how many days I have been in the house.

Looking forward to the next round of escapism!

Sorry about the delay everyone. Things seem to be a mess outside this forum. I'm more glad than ever that we have this outlet.

On the topic of next rounds...is there a preference? I was thinking/planning on running UA rules next. A nice similar era comparison.

I don't really have a preference. What would running UA add? Barbarians and thief-acrobats?

I'll also add that I'm not in a rush.

UA seems like a reasonable next step if we want to progress through the editions.

Are you thinking that we'd make new characters for each edition or use our existing PCs?

UA rules look like a less-effective version of the 1e rules. -> Though definitely simpler to run. <- Thoughts?

A little clarification. Since UA has two systems for weaponless combat, I was planning on the second system. The more complex and unique one.

In both systems:
Pummel does damage.
Grapple holds people still.
Overbear knocks people down.

"The first is a very simplified system that can be used
quickly in “emergency” situations. The second system is an outgrowth of
the first, and has greater detail and is the more powerful of the two."

System 2 allows for more variation and rules for different types of makeshift weapons and different armors. It also has rules for ganging up on people. :D

My thought was to keep the same basic characters, allowing class switching if desired. So Lug could be a proper barbarian, for example. More of an alternate reality Lug. We'd work together to tweak things if there are any conflicts with the minimum requirements.

UA sounds like a good idea. I am fine with whatever pace.

I am interested in UA as well - the more complicated system (and thank you, very much, for taking on the admin work for that). It seems like a difference is that in 1e grappling and overbearing could cause damage whereas in UA they don't?

That's correct. Only pummeling does damage, and the damage (and chance of stun) is based on the type of object used to pummel. Any strength bonuses only increase the percentage to stun, not the actual damage.

It sounds like UA works for everyone. I'll work it up and post new rules soon-ish. :D
