BTW - tibbius I misread your post when you said you thrust it into each bugbear's chest. That's my fault and I didn't mean to take away your post. Proceed how you want to now with them either dead or alive.

I figure that Brignum would have interrupted Egbald's slaughter with her question.

Since you have porters, you don't have to worry about having containers for the treasure, at least for only a couple hundred pounds of treasure.

Let's get a plan together, guys. You're in the middle of clearing the hexes around Bitterpan. In order to lock in the XP from those bugbears and also break down that heavy treasure, you'll have to check in with civilization. You also have another offer from the Duke to clear a path to Abbotsby. Finally, now you have a "captive" who might be able to lead you to a temple.

So what comes next? FYI I'm traveling for work this week so responses will be a little slower.

I'm in favor of executing the bugbear, going back to civ to lock in our profits, and continuing to execute our plan (clearing the hexes around Bitterpan).

I like the idea of a pet bugbear, not sure how that will be received when we bring our profits back to Bitterpan. Agree that we should get on with clearing out the area.

I'm ok if we want to retain the bugbear, as long as we have a contingency plan for when the Charm spell fades and we can't cast it again.

I think we should return to town to get XP/new gear if needed, but don't want to take BB with us. Maybe we instruct it to wait here for us?

I agree, the last thing the villagers will appreciate is us bringing a BB into town.

Yes, go back to town to get our XP and treasure sorted. The bugbear can stay in the woods for the moment as I want to know more about this temple before we go to destroy it.

I'm headed to Vermont tomorrow for my son's hockey tournament. Won't be back until Sunday. Highly doubtful I'll be posting so please puppet Ender until my return.

I'm experiencing some difficulty keeping track of what language Mirwydd is speaking and whether Egbald has a clue what's going on. Maybe <lizardish> or <goblinoid> tags would help me. Just a suggestion.
