Hey hey! Alright since this is up now, I figure it's the best place to lay down my rules for rolling.

Character Creation
All characters will be rolled as of Goblinoid Game's Labrinyth Lord AEC
Characters are starting at level 3
Armor is counted as half-weight if worn (This assumes that your character has been using this armor long enough to grow comfortable with it)
For all pother purposes rulings will be made after reading from the AEC.

Assuming ability scores can be rolled in any order (please let me know if this incorrect)

CHA : 11 - 1 (dwarf) = 10

Class: Fighter/Cleric
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Race: Dwarf

1st Level:
Hit Points: [1d8] = 2.
Hit Points (fighter): [1d10] = 9
rolled a 2, reroll:
Hit Points: [1d8] = 8
(8/2) + (9/2) +2 (con mod) = 10.5

2nd Level:
Hit Points: [1d8+2] = 1+2 = 3
Hit Points (fighter): [1d10] = 7
rolled a 1: reroll
Hit Points: [1d8] = 8
(8/2) + (7/2) +2 (con mod) = 9.5

3rd Level: Hit Points: [1d8+2] = 8+2 = 10
Hit Points (fighter): [1d10] = 10
(8/2) + (10/2) +2 (con mod) = 11


I did roll a 2 and a 1 (not sure if we are using the optional reroll of 1's and 2's form LL book?)
Wow, :shock: that seems crazy good. I am happy to reroll or do whatever you think is appropriate. I have never had die rolls that good before! :D

Hit Points (assuming higher d8/d10 Hit Die): 10.5 + 9.5 = 20


Secondary Skill:

I think unseenservant.com wants a campaign id to make a new character? Also, are we using the LL optional re-roll 1s and 2s on HP?

I'm sorry, but I think I'm going to bow out of this game.....I really can't justify buying yet another rule set for just this game; and yes, I know there's PDFs out there for it....I really, really can't stand PDFs; so I'm sorry; I'll just have to wait for a 1E, 2E or BECMI version of T1-4.

Thanks for the consideration though ThirdPotion; and I'll certainly be following along the adventure as an observer! :)

Hey max_vale, if it makes any difference, I have been reading the Lab Lord book at it seems to be very close to AD&D with the AEC rules, you could probably get by with out having to read a whole lot.

Mist likely a human fighter - might make a female fighter to make it not the usual....

What, and miss the joy of having a character of suck? My good stat folks die quickly, my low stat folks last a LONG time :lol:

Hello, sorry just saw the house rules post, so does this mean that for multi class their levels have to add to 3, the level we are supposed to start with? so cleric 2/ fighter 1 = 3rd level? Do multiclass characters always split their xp between 2 classes evenly? How much xp should I have?

Multi-class characters in AEC split the XP evenly between the two classes. Here is what I did for my Elven Fighter /Magic user and Third Potion gave it the thumb up.

If I had gone straight MU I would have need 5001 to be 3rd level, so I used that as my base XP. I divided it in two to give 2500.5 per class. Which gives enough XP for a 2nd level fighter and 0.5 XP short of a 2nd level MU. I rounded up to 2501 for each class so I wouldn't need to level up as soon as I earned a couple XP. So my final PC is a Fighter 2/MU 2.

For you I would start with the XP for a 3rd level fighter since that is the higher XP requirement. 4065 divided by 2 is 2032.5, which is enough XP for a 2nd level Cleric, and 2.5 XP shy of a 2nd level fighter. I say round up a bit to have a 2035 Xp for each class...so Cleric 2/Fighter 2.

Third Potion has final say of course...
