Cy moves up and listens carefully at the far door.
Re: Ch. 2: Return to Big Stone Mountain!
Moving on, Cy listens at the door just south of the door you just opened. He hears a conversation in a sort of yippy, yappy language he doesn't recognize. Dax, knowing more languages than most of you, takes a turn at the door. He can't make out the words, but he recognizes the language as kobold.

"Then, let us do that. I will ready my sling then open the door once you are ready. If we surprise them, we may be able to overwhelm them rapidly."

Tanta
Tanta readies her sword and shield and once she is though the open door she will attack the nearest bad guy.
If needed.
Sword [1d20] = 12 to hit [1d8] = 2 damage

Re: Ch. 2: Return to Big Stone Mountain!
You take positions and prepare to storm the room. Tanta throws her shoulder against the door...which doesn't budge. So Grond steps forward and kicks the door open.
Tanta: Open Doors: [1d6] = 5
Grond: Open Doors: [1d6] = 3
Grond and Tanta rush into the room, followed by Cy. The room is dark except for the light from Tanta's lantern. In the short moment you have to take in your new surroundings before combat begins, you see that the room extends about 30 feet across from the door and at least 30 feet to your left. A long stone table dominates the center of the room. The table's far end is shrouded in darkness. Wooden chairs in various states of decay and destruction lie about the table. A cold, dark fireplace is on the far side of the room, where some of the broken furniture appears to have been put into use as firewood.
Alas, any element of surprise you had hoped for is gone. Some of the kobolds have taken cover behind the table. You hear others moving in the darkness at the far end of the room.
Actions and initiative, please!

Re: Ch. 2: Return to Big Stone Mountain!
As the party prepares to engage the kobolds, a slight young woman drops from a little alcove halfway up the dungeon wall to land beside the party. "Well met!" she cries, and without further ado prepares to hurl her javelin into the kobolds' midst.

Dax will attack the closest kobold to him rushing at it with his axe.
Init: [1d6] = 3
Battle Axe [1d20] = 14 to hit, [1d8] = 7 damage

Iliro
Not readily seeing an enemy, Iliro moves in and to the left to see the far end better. Once he sees a kobold, he slings a stone at it then crouches down.
Sling, Short range (THAC0 - 19); Init:[1d6] = 4, To Hit:[1d20+1] = 11+1 = 12, Damage:[1d6] = 1

Cy
Cy charges in, swinging his mace and doing his best to position himself on one flank so only one kobold can engage him at a time.
Mace (THAC0 19): [1d20] = 5 [1d6] = 4 Init: [1d6] = 4
