Pol will begin making his way around the pile of garbage to approach it from the other side. Halfway there, he stops and stands watching, a bit shocked, as Theket "releases the hounds," so to speak. "You shouldn't a drank that,"he offers, then continues making his way around the pile.

Day 2, Turn 3 - The Grand Pipe/Near the Rubbish Pile


Ull relalizes he had been standing with his free foot above ground while witnessing his brother Theket's explosive disrcharge. He sets it down intent on applying the blue glowing liquid on his other boot...

Meanwhile Pol circles around the garbage pile. He confirms it is roughly circular, flatly pyramidal and about 30 ft in radius. It is obvious this is an accumulation of detritus that washed down from the vertical shaft above. Only where unfortunate Ull got stuck does there seem to be that amberish substance on the ground.

Day 2, Turn 3 - The Grand Pipe/Near the Rubbish Pile


As Ull sets his free foot down he feels it slip like if the sole of his boot was covered in grease. Fortunately he doesn't completely loose balance and fall to the floor, but his brothers are treated to the hilarious sight of seeing him trying to remain standing on a single leg like a troubled harlequin. It seems remaining in a vertical upstanding position will be a challenge unless the slipperiness of the free foot is dealt with.

Ull will pour as little of his wine as necessary to clear off the bottom of his boot, then place it where it isnt sticky. Then repeat with other boot.

Theket shouts at his brother, "NO! Not the wine!!!"

Uh why not. You thirsty?Ull stops before pouring, and asks

Theket says, "You is always wasting good drink."

i am not following... the wine worked last time to clear off the slick stuff. do you know of a reason not to do it this time?

Onn peers down into the dark pipe. It's been many minutes since his brothers climbed down the rope. He whispers loudly,'Hey yooz... shouldz I come down?' Receiving no reply, he scurries down the rope and makes his way down the pipe and drops to the pile of refuse.

"Theyz always furgettin me. Cuz Ma likes me bester than themz," Onn grumbles to himself as he glares at his brothers, stopping as he comes to Ull. "Whyz u wasting good drink on yur boots?"

Day 2, ...Loud scratching and heavy breathing can be heard echoing all around the pipe now, but the direction the sounds are coming from cannot be pinpointed.

"I don't like that sound, fellas!" says, Pol looking around uneasily. "I say we grab the shiny thing in the pile, it's gotta be that lens, and hi-tail it back up the rope. Umm... which one of you is gonna grab it?"

[Stouthart]

Onn decides to be proactive in preventing his brothers from suggesting he dig in the refuse pile.

'I sez you grab it, Pol. I'm sure the Dark One will protect ya.'

Onn crosses his arms across his chest and grins at his quick thinking.

Day 2, Turn 3 - The Grand Pipe/Near the Rubbish Pile


Ull discovers that the wine, like before, works at dissolving the strange blue liquid. His free foot can now stand on the ground without slipping. He proceeds to repeat the operation on his other stuck foot, first the blue stuff, yank out the limb, apply wine before setting foot down, and is freed in no time.


Meanwhile young Onn calls his brothers from up the shaft on the ceiling of the great pipe and begins climbing down the rope. Unlike the rest he chooses to drop on the pile of refuse itself, which kind of strains under his weight.

After some dialogue between on Onn and Pol about whom should try to get at teh "shinny thing" on the pile, it suddenly collapses, disturbed by the added weight of Onn. The younger brother falls down but is not hurt, the assorted rubbish cushioning him.

From near what was the top of the pile comes a-rolin' a huge, ovoid-shaped, crystaline, multi-faceted, soccer-football-sized, violet gem some 18 inches in diameter. It is rolling, rolling down the pile slope roughly in the direction of where Ull is standing, following the gradient of the pipe itself which leans slightly to where the rivulet is flowing.

The brother's have stolen enough jewels in their careers to know what that is...an amethyst. The biggest one they've ever seen. probably the biggest one in the entire world!

Pol begins running to try to intercept the glittering, hypnotic jewel...

Ull cries out...Uhh, might need to cut a hole out of this pipe to get that sucker outa here.

Theket yells, "Pol, get my amethyst for me!"

Onn curses and sputters under his breath as he tries to climb free of the refuse pile that has just collapsed around him. Hearing the excited cries of his brothers and seeing the gem rolling away, he adds his own voice to the chorus. "Grab it Pol! Grab it!"

Incited by his own greed and the shouts of his brothers, Ull intercepts the rolling stone with a goalie-like maneuver and grabs it easily. It is heavier than it looks, but not as encumbering as a boulder of the same size.
