..and BTW..

Why is anyone, including the DM, trying to "speed things up a bit"? I like the rhythm that detail bestows.

Are you guys just anxious to D20 and kill something?

Some people call that choppy back and forth session Roleplay!!

(Imagine that....!)

Maybe read a book or play a video game if you want speed. I like depth.

Well that would be toooo slow...like waiting for your post when you went on vacation without notifying anyone in the game..

Both have legitimate styles. Both have excellent action-posts. No reason to bash each other. I have seen no terrible play. Slow and detail is good, but alas Im not as young as I used to be and speed isnt a terrible thing either.
No matter how detailed we can draw the dm out, I got a feeling there is still more layers, but not everyone likes the same as me either.

i know, i know, Im riding the fence again.

...and again Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz nothing relevant as usual...

(EDIT: Look Im really sorry you worked yourself into such a lather over this: I was definitely perturbed that you had left without notifying anyone and then endeavored to "speed the game up" when you got back. But that's it lol...I thought it was going well until it got held up on your post and I was really enjoying my time in the pawn shop scenario...lets not make apples out of oranges here. )

Thanksgiving left this place pretty dead and then I got really busy with work, sorry for not being around.
Looks like Shonuff is back so I am happy to return to the game.

Sorry for my absence.

I must admit , I am a little baffled by this post.
Maybe that binge he mentioned , really IS a binge (like two week binge, the kind i used to have)
and when he gets his drink on, its game on, maybe thats what he meant. He might still be drinking.Maybe he needs help.

I know.......
Hes probably fighting in a bar with a big, mean-looking bouncer and a dwarf bartender.
with some big bosom drunk chick trying to get him to spend all his bread. But I bet the band is good.

He's got a deadline during the holiday season. I've been there myself and understand how it keeps you so busy that all life outside work comes to a stop. He'll be back as soon as he can come up for air.

I for one am willing to wait patiently until then.

Yeah Stonjuz that last post puzzled me too. It gave me the impression he was ready to resume play.
