Clerics (Shaman) dont actually improve until 3rd.
Only Fighters improve at 2nd.

Can I use my cp to buy new skills or is it restricted to improving skills I already have?

When leveling up, you can buy one NWP or WP, the CP left over can be used to raise skills one CP per skill... Or saved.

A new skill will have to be one that someone can teach you....ie, someone must already have that skill.

True Dat! and then the time to have the skill acquired is the discretion of the DM

Might as well bump this thread (Im trying to stack the storylines at the bottom, it wont work over the long haul, but I am going to try anyway) with something useful?
Does anyone have any questions about character creation.
Any problems with anybody elses?
Not all have been made with exactly the same restrictions.
No crying about it later.

Some have been built with straight 2e, some are using 2.5 straight
Some, probably most, are a mix. Im ok either way.

If you could ask my home game players, they would verify that most of the time they dont even have character sheets, except for the bare essentials (race, class ,hitpoints, ac)
Dont ask me how we get anything done, but it works for us.

Oh, well I guess that is up to you to sort out.
If you feel some are under powered due to the mixing of character generation that perhaps you can aid them with items.
But I enjoyed trying to make a character using a style I have never used before.
If I made any mistakes, or cheated myself in some way than I accept it as a learning experience. :ugeek:
