Hmm, I don't know if they're that dark... But my Glorantha is also probably rather different from Greg Stafford's... Yea, they do have an attachment to death, but they aren't necessarily necromancers.

You should post your stats (are they Wulgar?) here, you also need to roll 1d100 for background, though if you roll "Noble" I'll have to consider what that actually means (probably just your parents are successful business ducks in Pavis).

We will also do previous experience for everyone, though I may need to do creative interpretation and modifications for non-humans (no duck mounted barbarians for example...).

Did you just do [1d4+2] for SIZ? If so, you can make another roll and pick the one you prefer.

The 33 for background lands you solidly in townsman, which works just fine. Do you want to come from Pavis itself, or one of the duck villages along the banks of the Zola Fel river?

i want to play a fighter type, with honor. but still, a mercenary, as he dont fit on chivalry tropes. maybe he was against some code of honor for knights (or noble warriors), and decide to be noble on his own way. i would like to have sword and shield, and maybe a spear

Well, ducks aren't going to fit the chivalry tropes... Not to mention that European style knights really aren't the thing in this part of Glorantha (there is a more knightly area, Esrolia, but I have little interest in playing there...).

With your 8 STR you will be somewhat limited on weapon choice, but you can do shortsword, small shield, and 2-handed spear. If you STR goes up a bit (and it can go up to 12) your options will widen (9 STR gives broadsword, medium shield, and 1-handed spear, 12 STR opens up almost every weapon). You might even manage that 9 STR in previous experience.

Lay membership in Humakt will be automatic. At the end of your previous experience, you can roll for Initiate membership (CHA x 5 + net sword skill) / 2 on d100.

You should complete your previous experience first (it may increase your short sword skill).

Did you see the previous experience system on p.106? It gives a chance of attribute improvement plus a bunch of skills, some spells, and some equipment.

Once you've completed that, we'll make the roll for your being accepted as an initiate.

Your CON can't actually go up (CON and STR can be increased to the highest of STR, CON, SIZ). POW 12 is correct. And yes, ducks only do foot. Your sword will be short sword and shield will be small. You only train in weapons you are strong enough (so no poleaxe).

Did you do the check for mercenary (you do need to take the -10 CHA penalty for this roll): (5+0+14+16+11+15+8) / 7 * 5 or 50%

If you don't make that, do militia training, otherwise do foot mercenary training.
