Just moving this to the OOC thread.

Hey Pulp,
The current PC Status, from the bottom of my last IC post, might help answer that.

Also, I believe there is some healing magic in the possession of the PCs.Inferno wrote: PC Status:

Rereading Tjoruy's post in in the clues and notes thread, I'm thinking staying away from the denizens might be the best idea. And um... maybe we should run?
Re: A World Apart (ooc and questions lll)
Moving this to the OOC thread.
The underdwelling Verulians don't seem to see the party, as per my last DM post. Please see the last sentence below.

Welcome, Yrkoon!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Thanks, everyone! It's great to be here in Hyboria. I read a lot about it as a kid.

Hey guys,
Not to step on the great roleplaying and IC dialogue, but is there anything else you want to do before I move it along?
Any plans for the overnight?
Thanks!

Re: A World Apart (ooc and questions lll)
Cruloc is ready to move on. As I wrote previously, he'll attend to the injured as best as his barbarian healing skills allow.
I assume that, after having eaten many meals of mushrooms, he would now unerringly be able to identify through smell/taste which mushrooms down here are edible for the group. Hopefully, that will solve the starvation problem.
Mako rose threateningly when Cruloc offered healing, so I don't know whether he wants any Cimmerian TLC or not.
If anyone cares to regale Cruloc with the highlights of the party's adventures, he'll listen.

Re: A World Apart (ooc and questions lll)
The uncharacteristic double warning make me nervous.
Is there some way we should be trying to hide or shutter out our thoughts from the ever prying eye of Zargoth that I have forgotten about?

Cruloc may help himself to some of the rags in the hovel. He can use them to bind wounds in the future.
We ought to set watches for our rest period.
The barbarian is uninjured, so he takes first watch.

Re: A World Apart (ooc and questions lll)
We are in a tough spot!
A few questions before Cruloc decides what to do:
1) Is there a back way out of the hovel?
2) Do the other party members (excluding Xorzen) seem to be in a trance of some kind?
3) Are the masked figures right at the hovel's entrance, or are they still some distance away? Could we have more information regarding the hovel's entrance? Is it a door? A tent flap? How wide is it? Would it make more sense to take the masked ones out one by one as they try to enter the hovel, or would it be more strategic to clear an area out front so that the others may exit? How sturdy is this hovel?
My initial instinct is to have Xorzen stay and try to wake the others while Cruloc goes outside to buy us some time. Thoughts?

1: Yes. It has two doors; front and back.
2: Yes, like they are sleepwalking.
3: A little distance away and closing.
The small dilapidated hovel is of ancient stone. There are thin windows and small doorways to the street. If wooden doors had ever existed, they have long since rotted away and been replaced by tattered curtains hung from the top.Yrkoon wrote:Could we have more information regarding the hovel's entrance? The small hovel is filled with the PCs. It might be too cramped to fight here now that everyone is awakening. There is room outside the front door, but that space is shrinking. You haven't looked out the back door yet.Yrkoon wrote:Would it make more sense to take the masked ones out one by one as they try to enter the hovel, or would it be more strategic to clear an area out front so that the others may exit?
Fyi: If you wish to "strike to subdue," say so in your post and roll normally. Hitting with the flat of the blade has the same chance to hit, same damage, but such damage is non-fatal and heals in hours rather than days.
