Containment unit

#1 Post by Bluehorse »

The Containment Unit

Big, Red, Industrial with all the latest in electronic gizmos to make the geekiest of geeks drool with envy. It is emblazoned with a plethora of yellow warning labels, hazard tabs, more alarms and LED indicators than a turn signal convention, and a large sign near the power switch reading:

DO NOT SHUT DOWN!
THIS MEANS YOU
WALTER PECK!

For good measure, there is also multiple metal frames with plexiglass covers containing all the proper licenses and EPA Permits for the Grid's operation.

Mission Four

John Henry Tooling Warehouse

Classification
Gerry Harper, Class 2 Focused Non-Thermal Free Roaming Vapor w/
Minor Kinetic Ability.

FactoryGhost1.jpg
FactoryGhost1.jpg (192.2 KiB) Viewed 3621 times
Observed to have a dangerous habit of wanting to cause harm with his limited capacity. Responsible for many injuries over the years. Harper learned and honed his ability to cause more and more damage and harm over the decades. Was kept mostly in check by a mirror entity called Old Griff who did what he could to protect people from getting hurt. Later research showed that Griff and Frank Henry, Sr. (deceased) had been leaders of a union of resistance against the Harper Family Gang who were trying to strong-arm businesses in town for protection money. It is suspected that it was the Harper Gang that rigged the boiler to blow, killing Griff, and possibly Gerry Harper as well, though the family seems to have kept that detail out of the newspapers at the time, leaving this up to highly plausible speculation.

Status of Mirror Entity known as Old Griff: Passed on.

Motive: Cause as much damage and harm as possible.

Invoice:
Made out to Frank Henry, Jr. (Business Owner)

Mission Six
August 13, 2018 2:10pm
UAFS:  The Courtyard Green

Classification
"Red" Harper, Class 4 Free Possessor

6-Red.jpg
6-Red.jpg (262.01 KiB) Viewed 2712 times
A surprise visit with unknown causes, these entities only gave one clue to who there was by saying "Harper House" during their wild and loud manifestation on the UAFS Campus ahead of a powerful front of summer thunderstorms.  Red was readily identified as the alpha of this pack of ghosts and proved more than able to manifest objects and possess/hypnotize people at a distance into doing what he wanted by splattering them with pink slime, presumably charged with his will.  He was able to take control of one bystander and make him play football and also managed to hit Julia with a handful of slime to change her into a cheerleader; causing her to cheer until she was nearly ready to drop from exhaustion.  The duration of these effects seemed to last until the subject was either rendered unconscious or in Julia's case, once Red was in the trap, theoretically severing his tie to her.

Status of Entity known as Red:  Dangerous!

Motive: Cause as much damage and harm as possible in the name of "having fun."

Classification
"Husky" Harper, Class 4 Free Roaming Entity

A surprise visit with unknown causes, these entities only gave one clue to who there was by saying "Harper House" during their wild and loud manifestation on the UAFS Campus ahead of a powerful front of summer thunderstorms.  Husky was a Large humanoid-like ghost resembling a muscular but obese man mostly made of slime, but able to maintain cohesion enough to appear and interact with the world as a solid when he willed to do so.  His slime also appeared to be the main component of Red's possessions as well as manifestations of objects, like the possessed football he materialized from a lump of Husky's slime.

Status of Entity known as Husky:  Dangerous!

Motive: Do what Red says in the name of "having fun."

Classification
"Crusty" Harper, Class 4 Free-Roaming Entity

A surprise visit with unknown causes, these entities only gave one clue to who there was by saying "Harper House" during their wild and loud manifestation on the UAFS Campus ahead of a powerful front of summer thunderstorms.  Crusty was a Large humanoid-like ghost resembling a muscular but otherwise very lean man mostly made of dry mummified remains.  Though he was seemingly constantly "flaking off" and even at one point had one of the team stuck in his abdomen, he always seemed to regenerate back to his original form.  He could hit hard and take one as well.  He seemed the most corporeal of the pack of ghosts.

Status of Entity known as Crusty:  Dangerous!

Motive: Do what Red says in the name of "having fun."

Ralph's Pink Flamingo

Classification
Hot Hog, Class 3 Free Thermal Possessor

Ghost-Hog.jpg
Ghost-Hog.jpg (421.13 KiB) Viewed 2180 times
A nasty possessor spirit that took over one of the whole hogs in Ralph's kitchen which then, taking on the psyche of the deceased pig, proceeded to terrorize customers and staff while wrecking the main room.  It was able to escape the confines of the restaurant and attack the team outside in the parking lot where it was able to leave a flaming hot trail of ectoplasm along the ground whenever it charged, further complicating its a capture.

Status of Entity known as Hot Hog:  Dangerous!

Motive: Revenge.

Classification
Cypork, Class 3 Free Roaming Amalgemation Entity

Dv8gKUnVsAAoq6V.jpg
Dv8gKUnVsAAoq6V.jpg (185.55 KiB) Viewed 2180 times
An amalgamation of several pig corpses along with what seems to have once been a motorcycle.  This 6 armed, upright and rotund almost golem-like entity was glutton and greed wrapped up in a hodgepodge of pig parts.  This large entity was highly mobile and could "charge" when it kickstarted the inner workings made up of a now destroyed Harley Davidson from the employee parking outback.  It easily made the ground shake and even crashed through walls while attacking.

Status of Entity known as Cypork:  Dangerous!

Motive: Gluttony and Destruction.

Classification
The Pyg, Class 4 Free-Roaming Psychokenetic Possessor Entity

PiggiePig.jpg
PiggiePig.jpg (82.01 KiB) Viewed 2180 times
A surprise for the team when they saw the slaughter this ghost both had and was in the process of causing.  It was ready for the team, having already tied up two hostages which seemed bound for the smoker oven to suffer the fate meant for the original hogs brought into the restaurant.  Pyg was able to easily manipulate multiple objects in the area and attack the guys with a substantial amount of force.  He proved to be a strong class 4 and was not easy to take down.

Status of Entity known as Pyg:  Very Dangerous!

Motive: Do unto others.

Classification
Little Pig, Class 1 Anchored Entity

A surprise found in Ralph's office and likely a more of a result of the high levels of psychokinetic energies at work in the kitchen during Pyg's capture.  It was a rather pathetic little ghost that seemed more lost at why it was here, rather than hostile.

Status of Entity known as Little Pig:  Harmless.

Motive: N/A

One of the lingering mysteries about the Haunting at 601 North E Street is this entity. It was a part of the attacks on the team and apparently a source for some of the reported activity in the house itself. The fourth of five such ghosts found on the grounds of the haunted house. This one took possession of a garden statue in the form of a small garden gnome. Don't let its size fool you, this was one mean ghost capable of moving fast and exceptionally aggressive when it came to attacking the team. The unexpected help from The Cat and a single shot with a proton pack destroyed the statue and the possessor then escaped through the ceiling to the upper floors where it joined with the more powerful poltergeists above.

Status of Entity known as The Gargoyle:  Absorbed by the Warlock Poltergeist.

The fifth of five such ghosts found on the grounds of the haunted house. This one took possession of a garden statue in the form of another angel statue carrying flowers. It was different than the other statue ghosts in that it seemed more slow and deliberate, and seemed to be directing the others. It used a flower in its possession to create a vapor as an attack which knocked Mac unconscious where he reported having to fight for his life through a vision where he walked through his past alongside the spirit of Mary Duncan. A single shot with a proton pack destroyed the statue and the possessor then escaped through the ceiling to the upper floors where it joined with the more powerful poltergeists above.

Status of Entity known as The Flower Angel:  Absorbed by the Warlock Poltergeist.

Motive: Attack intruders. This ghost was the directing force behind the other four "attackers."

p1.jpg (179.81 KiB) Viewed 544 times
One of two such poltergeists encountered on the 2nd floor of the haunted house. This one seemed like it was going to be a lot of trouble and had already taken out three witches in the hallway, presumably with the aid of the second (see below), but with the help of the ghostbusters' modern technology and the direct aid of some of the other witches, it was quickly captured.

Status of Entity known as Poltergeist 1:  Highly Dangerous!

This one manifested itself directly behind one of the witches and pushed her over a balcony, marking it as the first of the two ghost willing to attempt to murder a living being. It took three witches and three ghostbusters to bring it down so it could be trapped.

Status of Entity known as Poltergeist 1:  Highly Dangerous!

Motive: Harming others.

Classification
The Warlock Poltergeist, FRCP: A Free-Repeating Corporeal Phantasm, of grotesquely altered human form, Non-Terminal, Planar Class 5 Caustic Poltergeist.

The main threat of the investigation. This major poltergeist absorbed the lesser 5 as they fled upstairs from the ghostbusters after the statues they were possessing were destroyed. This made the poltergeist even more powerful. It proved to be extremely violent and capable of using a breath weapon of black ectoplasm which caused necrotic damage to living flesh. The ectoplasm that made contact with flesh would very painfully evaporate, taking the afflicted flesh with it, which the poltergeist would them absorb and regenerate some of its own energy. It took the full intervention of D.O.O.R. to make it's capture possible, as both groups proved incapable of handling it on their own.

Status of Entity known as Poltergeist 1:  Highly Dangerous!

Motive: Death and destruction to anyone threatening its domain.
