SawBones McCoy
6'-4" / 250lbs / 32 years old
Former dock worker turned self proclaimed medical doctor, Chester H. McCoy learned his numbers and letters at an unusually early age. Despite his early promise and eagerness to learn, he always ended up stuck doing mundane jobs that were more suited to his size and strength than to his intellect.
Reading as much as he could about the human anatomy after a chance encounter with a shady self taught traveling dentist, Chet decided that his days of hard work and sore muscles were over. He packed everything he owned, bought some new gear, and procured himself a bogus diploma before heading west. Signing on to a large wagon train that wanted a "doctor" along, he used his charm to help fool the poor travelers into thinking he knew what he was doing. Since he didn't mind the blood and guts aspect of it too much, it seemed a fitting way for him to learn more about his new trade, which was all done pretty much on the fly for the most part. Though he did lose quite a few patients along his new journey, he actually helped a few as well. He is currently bouncing around between small towns, looking for a place to call home.

“Stumpy” was stationed in the Western Theater during the war with General Kit Carson, he only saw one battle and has managed to stay out of gunfights since. He worked for a sutler after the war hunting buffalo to feed the army garrisons. After the recent election his meal ticket lost the contract and cut him loose, now Stumpy is just looking to make an honest living. He has seen enough injustice to not have much of a stomach for it. He uses the fact he is left handed to his advantage by carrying his rifle in the crook of his right arm and keeping his left hand on his derringer in his left coat pocket. This way it looks like he isn’t ready for action and all the while he has the little Remington in hand and pointed at whomever he is talking to.
Description
Ted's a little feller, but quick. Fifteen years old. Fancied himself a gambler until he discovered the hard way that he can't cheat worth spit. Had to skip town after that little lesson. Wears two shiny guns that look like they've never been used in a fight (because they haven't). Calls himself "The Wichita Kid," hoping it'll catch on. It hasn't.

Quick on the draw, 'Shootout' got his nickname after a series of gunfights one rough weekend in Deadwood. Not very accurate, but able to use two guns effectively and get the first shot most times, combined with a willingness to stand and take a bullet if necessary, enabled him to get out of town bloodied, but above ground- more than can be said for the five who'd soon be six feet under. Realizing he may be able to make a living hiring himself out as a gunfighter, he wandered southwest, picking up the occasional job, until he found himself in Mad Mesa...
