Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
If you look at the TTE games list in a different browser, it should work for you. (it didn't work for me either when I viewed it through Google)
My event was called Revenge on the Borderlands Keep. A reverse action, "play as the monsters" game taken from the classic B2 adventure. (written by Gary Gygax, of course!)

Cool. Nice twist.
I'll try a non-Google browser. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Pulp!

Garamond can't reach the southern door by staying on the catwalk and hugging the wall. So I think I might not have been clear enough in explaining the southern door is on the lower level, at the bottom of the ladders.Inferno wrote: This level is a circular balcony with a floor of iron latticework. At this level, a door is set into the western wall. On the level below, a door is set into the southern wall.

I played in this! It was epic. My character was a very, very dumb hill giant. I died.OGRE MAGE wrote:If you look at the TTE games list in a different browser, it should work for you. (it didn't work for me either when I viewed it through Google)

There are ladders, as per my DM post on 3/11:

Yeah, but if I didn’t ask I would have had to go back and read or be forced to remember something on my own...
He’ll head towards the north ladder.

Maskelyn steps back, swearing in Gnomish. Ne denove damne!! He grips his staff like a baseball bat, ready to defend himself.
If he's attacking, please link your rolls. If he's not, you're good to go. Thanks!
Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
Nope, not attacking yet. He knows his strengths, and hand-to-hand isn't one.

I calculated (from prievious posts) the distance from the ceiling to floor is 45'; so 35' above the floor is about 10' below the ceiling and slightly above the cage. She should be able to grab the chain from there. Do I roll (d?) for her success?
I think, with the rope tied near the ceiling, its 50' length will reach the floor. Lowering herself down the rope to the floor won't require a roll. Chaka can likewise descend that way. You lose the rope, but it remains in place if you ever have to go back the way you came. Make sense?

Given that the target is stationary, is there any sort of bonus to hit?
Yes there is. Please roll as normal and I will apply. Thanks.
Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
Hi guys. The baby's doing well. She won't sleep or stop crying unless she's being held, but at least it means I get to spend my days and nights watching more cheesy fantasy and sci-fi than I have in years. Right now we're watching Deathstalker, and last night we had a Powers of Matthew Star marathon.
Anyway, long story short: I thought I could keep up with some semblance of an online gaming schedule while taking care of the peanut, teaching (and now moving!), but clearly that was a stupid idea—yes, those of you with kids are all laughing at me right now. It's been a hard call, since I love this place, but in order to save my sanity and be fair to the DMs I’m just going to have to bow out of my games here for the foreseeable future. I’ll be back, but it’ll take a while, so please feel free to do whatever you like with Jeojand, Inferno.
Here's to hoping none of you get turned into daleks! See you around!

That sounds fine. Leaving the rope is not a bad idea.

Enjoy the time with the new baby - they will become teenagers before you know it!!!!
Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
Thanks, Starbeard. Glad everyone is doing well.
Rest up. You'll need your strength for when the baby starts walking!
Deathstalker and Matthew Star? Don't forget Planet of the Apes, Logan's Run and vintage Dr. Who!
