Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
Sorry Raven and wolfpack. It's been a while. Moving it along.

Yes, an ability check vs Dex, modified for encumbrance of armor.SpinwardMarch wrote: Tullia
She looks at the trap door opening, to judge whether she can make the jump. She will tie the rope around her waist, and hopes for the best. Here I go, Chaka. After backing up a little, she will run, and attempt to jump over the trap door.
I assume there will be some kind of a roll for this.
But Tullia can't jump yet. She spent this round pulling Chaka out of the pit.
I'll give Pulpatoon and Starbeard a few more hours, and then I'll move the game along.

It'll be awhile until I can catch up and post. Swine flu is in town, and everyone is gross and terrible.
(P.S. If your kid gets flu-like symptoms, get them in to the doctor and get a course of tamiflu within the first 16-24 hours. The flu is nasty, this year, and the swine flu variant wasn't in the vaccine.)

Thanks for the heads up. I hope you and your family feel better soon.

Maybe I missed something, but didn’t we tie that sucker up? WHO UNTIED THE ZOMBIE-BOT??

Jeo's spell is not mind control, it's just a Charisma boost. The cyborg would never answer questions while bound as a prisoner so he was untied.Inferno wrote: Adrock ties up the last flesh and steel survivor with Maskelyn's rope, and awakens him.
"...fresh parts..." it groans.
Jeojand the catman purrs more words of arcane power and brings the rotting, rusting creature under his spell!
Fiefo and Ko-Nan are struck by how charismatic and commanding Jeojand is. Why have they only noticed it now? Adrock and Maskelyn, however, suddenly realize how arrogant and irritating the feline sorcerer is.
"Let us untie our dear friend!" the catman purrs as he frees the grotesque thing and turns him away from the bloody massacre of his kin. "Please, ask him any questions you like!"

Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
It’s that time of year again. Yes, GaryCon. From tomorrow through Sunday. If the past is any indicator, I won’t be posting much during that time. I’ll be busy pretending to be a space orc or a halfling-centaur assassin or something.

Apropos of Gary Con, more arcane ruminations in the Inspiration and Source Material thread, here:

I will be with CP as well, possibly even in some of the same games.ChubbyPixie wrote:It’s that time of year again. Yes, GaryCon. From tomorrow through Sunday. That was three and a half days. Moving it along.
Also, how was Gary Con?

Re: Virtual Realities (ooc and questions l)
Garycon was great!
Even though it gets more commercialized and diluted with far too many non-gaming distractions with each passing year, it is still a good place to go and have fun playing in some really good games. My AD&D game went over great and we were able to get into some other really fun games as well.
We played in an awesome Gaslands game on Saturday night that was the highlight of our convention. The guy who ran that game had some really incredible cars and scenery crafted up for the perfect post-apocalyptic demolition derby race.
I still like Gameholecon better, but Garycon can be a lot of fun if you navigate through the games list well and know how to avoid and/or ignore all the non-gaming stuff you don't really need to be part of. (i.e. costume contests, cosplay, LARPing, Hawaiian shirt day?, etc., etc., etc.......)

Near as I can tell, the events list on the GaryCon site is only visible if you are registered to attend.
What did you run?
