Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The ghoul gives a wrinkly smile. "Both. Now, I don't mind talking about it some more, but this place... this crowd... we need to take this conversation somewhere more private. It might even help if part of the story came from the Doc himself."
The ghoul orders a bottle of the Rad-Rum special to go and says he will meet you two outside. He lets on that he may know more about the Doc and his son, but his choice of words were vague, perhaps intentionally so. The ghoul had the look of a man that knew he was being watched, being eavesdropped on, but he played it casual.

Zeke shrugs.
I don't trust this guy but it's all we have to go on, at this point.
Assuming Seven is in agreement, Zeke gives it a minute or two and then gets up to follow the ghoul.

Seven picks up and puts away his cards finishes his drink and follows the ghoul. "Same sentiments myself Zeke.
But we gotta see where this trail leads."

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Having followed the ghoul outside of the Last Plank, spot him speaking to a few local merchants. A handful of fish collected in a net in one hand, his other hand firmly planted on the counter in a fist. Haggling for a better deal, no doubt. This behavior continues for a few more stalls before the ghoul in the yellow trenchcoat makes an abrupt turn and goes into a narrow alley.
The alley has a few back doors to various buildings facing the walkway, and at the very end, you can see a sign hung up, an advertisement for a bunkhouse of some sort. The sign hangs above a sturdy wooden door, one that you imagine can support quite a few locking mechanisms. This is where the ghoul's trail ends. You don't see any sign of him, though you do see the stuff he purchased sitting in a nearby cart.

Zeke says to Seven, See if you can spot anyone following us. I'm gonna check that door out.
Zeke walks down to the end of the alley and tries the door.

Seven shrugs "Sure I guess. I'm willing to bet there is a hidden door somewhere maybe behind the sign." says as he starts searching for any secret or hidden entrances. [1d20] = 4

Zeke stops.
Huh, I hadn't thought of that.
He joins Seven in looking for a secret door.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
With no sign of anyone having followed the two to the alley, Zeke and Seven begin their search for a possible secret entrance.
Coincidentally enough, there IS a secret passage. Pulling on the bag hanging out of the cart triggered some sort of mechanism in the brick wall next to the door. You can hear a distinct *cachunk* and then a panel on the ground, partially covered by trash bags, reveals itself. No lockpicking is required for this one, just a hand to pull on the handle.
Turns out the door was a ruse.

Zeke heads into the doorway.
If light is required, he turns his Pip-Boy's flashlight on.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The Pip-Boy flashlight reveals the surrounding area with a soft glow. The secret entrance was part of what looks like an escape tunnel, used by fleeing citizens back when the Docks were frequently raided by pirates. The path is well-worn but dusty, not many people have gone through here lately. A few lanterns are hung intermittently as you progress through a narrow and low hanging tunnel. The area is dry but cold. It isn't until a few minutes later of walking that you see a door up ahead, this one more reinforced than any that you've seen before and... is that a turret?!

Zeke replies, If we lived here, we'd probably have the same set-up, right?
Zeke shouts out Hey, is that thing loaded?

Seven nods "Yup I'd have a place like this too if we were down here. Good question about the turret."sulldawga wrote:Zeke replies, If we lived here, we'd probably have the same set-up, right?

"Yep," replies a voice over the loudspeaker. "But don't worry! I was expecting company and it would have been rude to riddle my guests with holes. I made sure to add your faces to friendlies list."
You hear the door unlock. "Door's open." You can tell that it is the ghoul's voice over the loudspeaker.

Zeke proceeds through the door.
He whispers back to Seven, Save yourself if this thing opens up before I make it through.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven gives Zeke a curious look one eyebrow raised questioningly at the statement from the loudspeaker "How'd he get pictures of us?" he says reaching the door and opening it to go in, then proceeding in.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Entering through the door, Zeke and Seven find quite the setup. The place looks like a bunker, a safe haven for people on the run, or a bomb shelter of some sort. The ghoul from before can be found across the room talking with two people. One of them looks like a local dockworker, the other a man in a white lab coat, the Doctor you've been looking for. Seeing you two walk in, they wave you guys over. The ghoul smiles, the Doctor looks relieved to see you again, and the dockworker does not look pleased.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven "Alright so where's the doc then?" he asks the ghoul once he is not talking to the dockworker.

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The ghoul points to the man standing next to him, who is clearly the doctor you are familiar with, back from the settlement.
"It feels like it has been a long time since we've last met. The journey south was... difficult, but my son and I are safe now, at least for the time being."
The dockworker nearby scowls as Zeke and Seven approaches. She says angrily towards the ghoul, "Don't tell me we are taking on two more? Our reserves are low, you know that!"

Re: Chapter 3 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven ignores the dockworker woman and says to the doc "So you know this guy? Thought you told us you never saw him when we asked as we went to find your boy."
