Gildor
Gildor whispers, "I'm beginning to think that too Hantae. Let's check the last passage above us we haven't look at yet. I'd prefer not to test the water and while we have a warning about going deeper we have to remember who gave the warning. First let's check the last passage real quick and then move along the south passage by the door just a little bit further than we did last time say 10 - 30 meters and reevaluate the situation then. Everyone be ready for a fight with the Carrion Crawlers just in case they come out of that bottom passage. Who know they may be the pets of that one Gladiator from the party. Stay sharp. Listen and look."
Gildor stays on his toes and goes slow and quietly.

Gildor
Gildor says”That first passage did have a familiar smell of death. Best we check all the water tunnels before we try that passsge. Let’s check water passages counterclockwise then.
Gildor leads on - spot check.

Wading in water: Passage checking counterclockwise
Leaving the dead-ended passage the gladiator initiates work counterclockwise searching the passages with water in them. The passage they had not checked yet first turns out to have very shallow water but does decline only slightly as they go there is no water until they hit a T intersection at the end of the passage however standing in the water shows it appears to be very shallow only ankle deep on a human. The group can go left or right here (west or east) it appears the water remains shallow to the east but going west it heads towards the passage that had deeper water in it. Though nobody checked to see how deep the water was in the more northerly passages.

Rician tests the water to see if it's drinkable, if so scoops some into his mouth.
He suggest going eastward, but does not mind going west up to just before the water gets any deeper.

Re: Part 1: Welcome to Thyatis
The water is cold and a bit dirty like it might be old rainwater that drained down below from above it is not harmful or foul tasting but it does have a grit in it when Rician tastes it. It is fresh not sea saltwater.PyroArrow wrote:Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - Banded Mail AC 4 + Stone Warden Shield (+2): AC 2 - HP: 27/27:

Gildor
Gildor heard Rician and nods ok. Gildor checks East first then goes back West if East that was no good.

Scouting Ahead: Results
Gildor checks both west and east and finds to the east the passage is shallow only ankle deep water for a long ways and the passage curse more northeast and opens into a larger area he checks west and finds it gets deeper and does connect back to a passage they had checked earlier. Meanwhile everyone keeps watch from all directions and sees nothing Hantae only spots a rat every now and then scurry off away from where the carrion crawlers were last seen.
Map: gladiators are the little icon I replaced the red dot with on the map.

Gildor
Gildor says, "It continues east and opens up a bit. Let's check it out. I think the west passages connect back up and is a bit deeper. This eastern passage is ankle deep. Come friends."
Gildor moves along again trying to move along quietly ahead of the others by a bit. Thief Skill roll [1d100] = 90, PP 45% OL 50% FRT40% MS45% HS35% DN15% CW80% RL-5%
The water isn't helping his stealth much. He mutters softly, "Blasted water."

Bridge Crossing
In the larger opening there is a shallow pool of water and to the northwest leads back towards the deeper river, to the east the underground river is here crossed by a bridge of Thyatian construction. Treacherous footing and a sheer rise at area CC makes upstream travel hazardous, the passages east of the bridge slant sharply upward. Standing on the bridge is a gray-furred man-rat.
Man-Rat
The man-rat is not threatening the group at all he merely watches you no weapons at hand or anything to suggest he is threatening to the group.
