All supplies in the miscellaneous gear lists apart from vehicles and mounts are available at 20% markup (does not apply to starting equipment) due to remoteness of location and limited production.

Adventurer Trades:
-Single blacksmith with one apprentice. Metal goods from gear lists available at 20% markup, require crafting time except for very basic items.
-Single tailor/tanner with one apprentice. Leather and cloth goods available at 10% markup, require crafting time except for very basic items.

-One chief cleric (Harold Willoughby) with single Level 0 acolyte dedicated to Branwyn, Patron of the Southern Lords (a catch-all deity of order and goodness).
-One chief cleric (Krysta Kane) of Pelor with no acolytes.
-Prayers and healing services available via negotiation with the chief clerics.

Wooden Keep:
-Offices of the Regent - audiences with Tamerlin are only available to Adventurers' Guild members and those with a noble title. If you are not either, make friends with someone who is. The Regent holds open court every five days (multiples of 5) for public petitioners and gathering of the nobility.
-Assessor's Office - Deeds for property (1% of assessed value, one year duration), Wills (100gp to create, 20gp to modify), Currency conversion to platinum (1% fee)

After his morning drinks, Rhodri heads down to the bazaar to find the weaponsmith to whom he'd entrusted his 'souvenir' of his tangle with the Black Beast.

(Rhodri paid the man 50 gp--out of 75 agreed upon--to make a dagger out of the tooth; I'm ready to deduct the other 25, if he's finished the work.)

The smith hands over the long-bladed dagger a bit sheepishly, recognizing that the quality of the work isn't exactly his best. "The tooth was strangely striated--clearly old and a bit brittle, and I wasn't able to get the kind of edge out of it that I'd hoped for. Still," he continues. "There's something a bit odd about the tooth after all. You can feel it when you pick it up. Makes me a bit uneasy, but then again I'm just a smith...what do I know?" He grins uncertainly.

Rhodri's sour face twists into a scowl as he runs a thumb along the edge of the blade. "Well, I won't be using it to shave any time soon. And it's hardly what you promised me, though the hilt looks pretty enough. All right, then...I paid you fifty gold circles, and I reckon that's about the value I'm holding in my hand right now, so that makes us square." He stares at the smith until the other man drops his eyes, then walks off, tucking the dagger in his belt.

While he's in the neighborhood, Rhodri picks up some fresh adventuring supplies, with an eye toward heading back out into the wilds to make his fortune.

(Backpack, Blanket, Grappling hook, 50' Silk rope, Pen & ink, Wineskin (and wine to fill it), 2 torches, 2 flasks of oil, 2 days fresh rations and 5 days trail rations.
All in, that comes to a little under 27 gp; with 20% extra, that's around 33 gp, rounding up...Rhodri's pretty flush, he's not counting coppers at the moment.)

Lug pays for a private room at the inn (-1s) then walks purposefully and directly to Varas's house, a look of determination on his face. He pounds on the door with a hamhock-like fist.

"VARAS! YOU IN THERE? COME ON OUT!"

Being outdoors, Lug doesn't have to use his indoor voice.

"GO AWAY, YOU CRAZY BASTARD! I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU, BUT I WILL DEFEND MYSELF!"

"NO! WE GOT BUSINESS AND WE GONNA SETTLE IT!"

The curtains are pulled shut and the interior of the house is dark. The door appears to be locked.

Lug pounds on the door again. "COME ON," he whines. "I AIN'T GONNA KILL YOU, YOU WUSS."

There is no response from Varas.

After waiting awhile, Varas sees that Lug isn't going anywhere.

With his bow slung over his shoulder, Varas extends one of his long limbs out of the furthest window from Lug then gracefully and quickly pulls himself onto the roof. He unslings the bow, but doesn't load it, staring down at Lug.

"What do you want?"

"Wanna talk," answers Lug. "You want I should climb on the roof with you?" He looks at the stone house. "It'll probably hold..."

The memory of Lug sucker punching Wendall flashes across Varas' mind as he eyes Lug skeptically. "We can hear each other fine. Keep you feet on the ground."

Lug scoffs. "If all I wanted to do was punch you, you think that door woulda stopped me? Come on down, wouldja?"

"Please?" adds Lug.

Varas smiles. "And if all you wanted to do was talk, this arrangement would do just fine. You can talk the same to me if I'm up here as if I'm down there."

"Ain't talking to your feet," says Lug. He sits back down and waits for Numen to climb off of the roof.
